I'm curious who the others are because I'm not seeing any others. Maybe it's because I really haven't even been that active in the CBB thread, because of this exact reason: it's just a s***hole. You mention Aboz, but who else has said anything about that? All the generalizations on here are f***ing pointless. Grow up everyone.

This whole thing started with what we thought was a generalization about Illinois fans, made by one of your Hoosier fans.

So why don't you grow up, as well as read the rest of the damn thread and realize Aboz and I are over it.

Edit: To answer you original inquiry, i said others because i know it comes up often by posters not as recognizable as Aboz, after thinking about it, certain posts of He Gawn have been in this fold, IIRC.

Classy as always. Nice.

Saying exactly what you said is not classy, good one.

You came looking for a problem, didn't you?

Not at all. Look at what you said before your edit. Telling me to just read the damn thread isn't making anything any better. It's no secret to anyone that you've got a problem with me still, with your constant snide remarks. I'm just going to end this for good, and do what we should have both done a long time ago and put you on ignore.

Have a good life.

So how about we come to a general agreement?

1. The whole Gordon deal is over and no more comments are allowed. If Gordon lights up some HS for 60 points, post it in the IU thread on TalkBigTen. If both sides leave that alone we are halfway there.

2. Both sides are allowed to take shots at the other without the whole fan base taking it personally.

3. Assume when idiot comments are made, and they will be made, replies that generalize are not really meant to be directed at all fans of either school.

4. Replies to stupid, idiotic posts should be dealt with using harshly worded retaliations and the innocent fans of either school not involved are totally able to sit back and laugh at it, even making an occasional post to stir the pot, all in good fun of course.

5. If this keeps up, we'll have to put boxing gloves on Greasy and Krush and sell tickets to the fight. I'd suggest a live web cast for those of us that live too far to come see it.

Lastly, no one has yet to give me some ideas about who would be a good choice for Head Coach at Evansville, because I see no way Steve Merfield survives this year. I need some actual basketball discussion here folks!!

LOL, you harped on me for no good reason, then told me to grow up, then posted in smart ass fashion. I can tell you still have a problem with me...put me on ignore, i have no problem with it. I just find it very funny.

If you had read the entire thread, you would realize that Aboz/Wharris/myself had a misunderstanding and it's over. Nothing more to see there, really.

I refuse to take my Eric Gordon updates out of this thread. Therefore, you will know when he drops 60 on someone.

Sorry Rex. Haha.

As far as the other comments in the thread, I'm staying out of it. I think we had a misunderstanding as far as those guys taking what I said personally (which hardly anything I post is personal, this is a message board people), although I can see why it was taken the way it was. It was meant really for one person and then others responded and it was blown out of proportion. I consider it over and done with.

Now, back to regular programming.

That's just weird as hell I edit in something about Sherron and you make a post about him...

How many guys can you see jumping pro after this year?

I see maybe one or two.

I believe Chalmers and Wright will stay till JR year. Chalmers because his dad is on staff, and JuJu will graduate early. Rush is unknown, depends on his play in march, and Arthur is a stud, but this is a deep class.

I don't know if Rush will go just because his stock has probably gone down since last year, and this is a real deep class.

Wright could probably go either way, his stock might be too high to pass up.

FYI, Wright is the only guy NBADraft.net has as going pro this year in their "mock draft." He's listed as No. 7.

In 2008, they have Arthur going No. 7 and Rush 34th.

Yup, but they have a lot of fluctuation. They had Arthur going this year just a few weeks ago and same with Rush.

Regardless that team is chalk full of NBA prospects.

This is true, I think Rush would be a 2nd rounder at best if he goes this year. Wright and Arthur would both be top 15 picks this season.

Rush would be wise to stay out of the draft this year, IMO. UNLESS he really turns it on for the remaining part of the year. He has shot like crap so far and hasn't shown any improvement from his freshman year. It's actually bizarre how similar his numbers are across the board with the exception of shooting which is down.

GAWD this draft is loaded.

Yea it's ALL my fault because I was the one that started it.

No offense, but everytime a Hoosier fan has said something about Gordon I believe was when whitesoxfan101 or whatever it is has mentioned something along the lines of him.

And like aboz, I will not stop updating everyone on Eric Gordon haha. As a matter of fact he will be in attendance at my high schools girls basketball on January 20th and I'm actually going to get some balls and go talk to him. I really want his autograph, but I'd feel really stupid asking someone thats my age for his autograph. We shall see. :lolhitting

That is bulls***. But this is over, no need for it to be rehashed.

Actually, that is a very good suggestion. I know Marty pretty well. Yes, I am that old. I was in school at the same time he was playing and was pretty good friends with most of the basketball players. Marty looks like he can still drink some serious beer! But, I think he would give the program an instant boost of familiarity and energy.

Unfortunately, two guys from Evansville who would be excellent coaches have likely worked their way past UE's level. Chris Lowery from SIU and Brad Brownell from Wright State (was at UNC Wilmington the past few years) are both from Evansville and played HS basketball there. Brownell could be a possibility, I guess. I have yet to figure out why he went from UNC-Wilmington to Wright St on his own. He seemed to have a pretty good thing going at Wilmington, following Jerry Wainwright.

There are probably others that have ties to Evansville or Indiana basketball in some way that would be good choices, but I am blanking on them right now.

Now that I think about it, Iowa Asst. Craig Neal could be a solid candidate. He's from Washington, IN, about 45 minutes from Evansville. Maybe they can hire him quick enough to have him talk Tyler Zeller into staying "home" and turning the program around? Okay, a pipe dream maybe, but an interesting thought.

Thinking a bit more on it, the best choices I can think of right now are:

1. Craig Neal

2. Marty Simmons

3. Brad Brownell

4. Lennox Forrester

Forrester is a Bradley assistant who was on Jim Crews Evansville staff for 10 years. Forrester came to Evansville from an Oklahoma JC highly heralded. He was injured before he ever played a game at UE and never played for them. Crews kept him on scholarship and gave him a grad assistantship. He stayed on staff for 10 years. I remember meeting Lennox at a part the night of his recruiting visit. We talked for about 20 minutes, so I will take all the credit in the world for success so far. ;-)

I just got back from my 9:05 AM class. In the class is Armon Bassett, Xavier Keeling, Mike White and Earl Calloway. Bassett is also in my Tuesday/Thursday class.

I don't really get star struck but I think it'll be pretty neat having them in my class for the basketball season.
