Last 5 years at Kansas:

2 final fours

1 elite 8

1 national championship game

0 titles, comes with the territory.

SIU is just another midlevel school who has no implication after the sweet 16, if you even get that far.

ESPN is at the Phog on Saturday night...Prime TIme Kansas!!!

Here's the list of all the tv games for the event:

Southern Illinois at Butler

UNI at Nevada

Drexel at Creighton

Winthrop at Missouri State

Bradley at VCU

Holy Cross at Hofstra

Appalachian State at Wichita State

Kent State at George Mason

Old Dominion at Toledo

Ohio at New Mexico State

Albany at Boise State

Cal State Fullerton at Wright State

Utah State at Oral Roberts

Austin Peay at Akron

The top 5 games here are pretty damn good, 6 and 7 are solid games as well. Got some real good matchups this year.

Man, we barely beat an inferior opponent in MSU and somehow go up in the rankings? How does this thing even work?

I dunno, but it's the same thing with Marquette. Of their winning streak, the USF victory Sunday was the worst game they played (they probably should have lost), yet the Coaches Poll moves 'em up from 20 to 15. I guess it has more to do with other teams losing, but...

This game is really sad. If you're not watching it's Kansas 29, Nebraska 6! And there's 12 minutes gone in the game!

i watched that game last saturday, unfortunately.

Do or Die for the Illini tonight?????

nah. it's not nearly that dramatic. just because many illinois fans are drama queens doesn't mean the situation is.

but it would be a nice win, probably their best win of the year, imo.

IU>MSU. And it's getting to the point where it is that big. After this game, Illinois basically has a shot at one more quality win and they're not winning in Bloomington. U of I really needs this one, badly.

i can agree with that. i interpreted the "do or die" comment as more of a general program shot (jimbo's good at those :P ) than being in relation to tournament hopes. as it relates to tournament hopes, this game is pretty important, especially considering i give illinois no shot at indiana.

Actually it almost is. The way i see it we'll lose at IU and at Iowa, and that'll give us 7 losses.

I keep hearing that if we're 9-7 in Big Ten play and maybe win one tourny game, we'll make the tournament. We'd have to win the other 6. So yeah, you need to win at home, and this is against a decent opponent. A loss here certainly makes the...the...the...NIT more of a reality.

I'd wear white. There's no reason not to.

I think it's going to turn out pretty successful, as though this wasn't formally suggested by the athletic department, the way it's being promoted/advertised is just the same as it was for the two games last year.

It's not as good as Penn State's white outs, but I think it still looks pretty tight.
