ESPN is pushing oden so hard im sure thats a huge reason why the Wisco game isnt on.

That probably is the reason, but it's still ridiculous. I'd be real pissed off if we didn't have a game tomorrow.

True on Oden.

But at the same time ESPN really likes Tucker and you think the tie breaker would be that Indiana is a top 25 team and most likely going to the NCAA tournament and it is at their arena.

Much better chance for an upset/good game in the Wisconsin/Indiana match up than the OSU / Purdue.

I mean it goes wihtout saying that the worst game is UNC-Miami, but lord knows that we couldnt go a night with out the shining light that is ACC basketball.

Aren't the games chosen earlier in the year? I don't think (and I could be wrong) ESPN would simply change the games once they have been announced. I have known this game would be on ESPN+ since the beginning of the season. While this is a good matchup, I'm sure early in the year, OSU @ Purdue was equally alluring, especially with the pre-season hype of Oden.

ESPN contracts with conferences for games, so the UNC-Miami game has nothing to do with IU-Wisky. Like it or not, college basketball contracts with conferences for games aren't fluid enough to change games around, like they do with football.

I'll be at a bar watching tomorrow night, even if I am watching by myself.

Go Hoosiers!!

if we didn't win that game, i would be more pissed off than I"ve ever been in my life. This team is atrocious on offense and even when they give us chances at the line, we can't do anything with them.

For a while in that game we were actually pretty decent on offense. Good movement without the ball, good screens, pretty good passing, and Frazier created well when we were late in the clock. Then it kind of went south. Frazier, Pruitt, McBride all nice games offensively. Carter and Randle pretty much worthless with foul trouble yet again.

And oh yeah, those things that you shoot from that line thingy, we aren't very good at those, especially Pruitt. Good Lord that was tough to watch. I'm just glad it didn't cost us the game.

And there’s more to his heroic story. He suffered a new toe injury in practice and on Tuesday morning Weber was told by the training staff that Frazier could not play. During the day, and in warmups, his toe responded enough so that the training staff basically asked Weber if he’d rather have Frazier against Michigan State or against Minnesota on Saturday. Weber said he’d rather have him against the Spartans, even if that meant giving up on any chance of him playing Saturday.

Before the national anthem, Weber asked Frazier if he could play. He was limping during warmups and he told Weber he could not start, but to let him sit on the bench and let the game get rolling and he’d see. Frazier entered the game at the 14-minute mark and helped share in the defensive role against Michigan State’s Drew Neitzel.

Frazier and Rich McBride were mostly responsible for pressuring Neitzel all over the court and Neitzel finished with 10 points, nine below his average. He was 2 of 12 shooting.

After the game, Michigan State coach Tom Izzo pulled Frazier aside.

“He showed me more guts than anyone I’ve seen since Mateen Cleaves,” Izzo said of his former point guard, the heart and soul of a team that led the Spartans to the 2000 national championship. “Everyone knows he’s hurt. Watching him before the game, he could hardly walk.

“I told him at our place he’s the toughest player in the league. I told him that again tonight. It was a gutsy effort.”

and can hit a free throw...i would do hack a pruitt allday.

yeah it sucks, especially considering he's our most consistent offensive option.

i'm surprised more teams don't use a "hack-a-shaun" approach.

Well, it is called "ACC Wednesday" on ESPN. They are the one conference that ESPN has exclusive rights to in hoops, but also have shared contracts with Big East, Big XII, SEC, and Big 10. Ever wonder why they televise every single ACC tourney game even a crappy Florida State/Wake Forest matchup that nobody could give a crap about. Truth is, ESPN does make these television schedules well in advance.... Wisco was not supposed to be as highly ranked as they are, where Purdue was supposed to be a lot better and somewhat of a sleeper in the Big Ten. At this point, ESPN is banking on more casual college hoops fans are more likely to tune in to see Oden. Tucker is a stud, and where a lot of people know about him...more know about Oden.

Que?

Wisconsin was top 5 to start the season and was on the cover of SI.

And I know about the ACC thats why I said the comment about how could we live without ACC basketball. Another reason is that the Big 10 is starting their own network and it is part of the reason why ESPN has placed many of their games on ESPN + and its other networks that you have to pay for or call your cable provider.

They are worried should the Big 10 channel become popular that their other services will start to feel the loss of viewership.

Actually, there were 5 different regional covers of that issue of Sports Illustrated, so it's not quite the same. They also started the season 9th in both polls. Yeah, they were still pretty highly regarded, but not as highly as they are right now.

in the first half, yes, the movement was pretty good. Second half, all that shut down. If pruitt doesn't touch the ball on every possession, the other 4 need to be benched immediately.

5 or 9 wahts the difference. They still were regarded as a top 10 team, and its very hard to imagine that anyone believed Miami would be better than Indiana.

If Wisconsin was an ACC team thsi game would 100% be on tv, and thats my bigges tproblem with ESPN. And why I will have no problem not watching their channel in the upcoming years when more Big 10 games move away from it.

They also screwed the Big 10 during the football season.
