is that a joke because Coach K hands down takes the cake as the whiniest coach but these guys can't compare to the NBA

nope, everytime i see Izzo he is whining or making some face about something in the game. Its ridiculous. I agree that Coach K is bad as well though.

Awesome day at the Bradley Center. The Wade ceremony at halftime -- they retired his number, for those that don't know -- was put together very well.

Marquette played pretty well. The score looks close at 69-62, but Marquette had a good four-seven point lead for the majority of the game. They extended it to 13 in the second half with about six minutes to go and pretty much stopped running their offense, and as a result, Providnence went on about a 9-0 run.

Dan Fitzgerald was great, 4-6 threes IIRC. James had a bad shooting night but did a nice job dishing, and McNeal was his usual a-little-out-of-control-but-still-intense self.

Time for somebody else to step up and beat Pitt.

Big roadie win for the Bucks today. I cant think of a coach who whines more to the officials than Tom Izzo. The guy just doesnt stop complaining.

great win, now it all comes down to February 25th in the schott, hopefully the Buckeyes can get the number one seed for the big dance AND play in Chicago if I am not mistaken

Wow Dicky V way to embarrass yourself.

He was talking about tourney seeding. His top four -- Florida, Wiscy, UNC, UCLA. Fine.

The first number two seed he mentions? Yep, you guessed it -- Duke. What a f***ing joke.

Wow, tie game in Lawrence.

I think regardless of what happens in the OSU v Wisconsin game it will be very hard for OSU to get a 1 seed over Wisconsin, barrring some bad losses by Wisconsin between now and the selection.

I believe the Big 10 tournament's final game is usually after the selections are made, so assuming that both Wisconsin and OSU are in the final game, and they have split home/away, it will be hard to give OSU the nod. The reason for this is Wisconsin has beaten Pitt and Marquette, where as OSU does not have any top 10 wins.

There also is a chance they both get 1's depending on how everything plays out.

I almost missed that ending because we had to kick the Vols ass 19-7 in baseball. Thank god I was able to go to the club house in the 7th to watch it.

I think you guys have completely moved yourselves off the bubble for the time being. RPI of 19, SOS of 15 with wins over Florida, Va Tech and @ Duke. Barring a total collapse, FSU is in the tournament.

Duke needs to fall a bit, too. They're barely above .500 in conference at 5-4, are facing an (almost) certain loss with an amped North Carolina team coming to Cameron, and overall, haven't been very impressive this year. Yes, I realize they only have five losses, but their OOC schedule was embarassing (mostly the lack of road games -- they had some reasonably 'tough' home games).

Barring them winning the ACC Tourney, they probably shouldn't be anything above a three seed, and a four seed would maybe even be a better fit.

Duke actually does have some solid ooc wins with Air Force, GTown and Indiana. Problem is, they had 0 true road games ooc and you just can't be rewarded for that imo. They got a real tough schedule down the stretch, we'll see what happens.

Well that's what I'm saying. I thought their OOC schedule was weaker, but it actually had some pretty decent opponents on it -- didn't they also play Gonzaga at Madison Square Garden, IIRC (along with my Golden Eagles, obviously)? But as you said, no true road games, and when teams are still 'feeling it out' in the early season, being home/away can play a huge role in who ends up winning.

Rowand are you still a Duke fan or are you starting to see the light? :-)

Ha, I'm still a casual Duke fan. To be honest, I haven't really loved Duke since Jay left(I loved watching him play, and I loved that team because of it). I think it's become pretty obvious here that SIU is really the only team I really care about now. I'll still watch Duke play but it's not like I'm drained if they lose like I am with the Salukis.

Yes, I left out the Zags for some reason. Overall, they definitely played some good teams but having no true road games is a joke imo.

If SIU is not ranked tomorrow, I riot!

Ha, I think we will be but who the hell knows. Obviously the rankings mean absolutely nothing overall, but it would be nice to get in there because it is free PR which can't hurt.

I didn't see anything like this during the game because as soon as the game was over I had to go back to work, but I want the opinions of neutral fans.

Is Leonard Hamilton in the wrong for holding up his index finger meaning #1 while walking off the court being yelled at by fans. Everyone that saw it on TiVo says it was for sure his index finger, but many Dook fans are sayng he was being immature.

The Dook fans can give it out, but can't take it?

I don't see anything wrong with it at all.

Yeah -- I think the FSU coach (don't know who it was) got to him pretty quickly. But as close as those Duke fans are to the court, I'm sure that there's some none-too-nice words being shouted from the Dukie fans, so they shouldn't be crying if someone rubs it in once in a while.

I'm not going to say Hamilton is justified in doing whatever he did, but Duke fans shouldn't say a word regardless.
