Minor League SS or 2B?

Hi! I'm not real familiar with a lot of our farm system and all that we have to offer, and I was wondering if we have any REAL credible Shortstop or Second basemen in the wings. I hear about pitchers, 3rd base Fields, 1st base Rogowski, Outfielders Owens, Sweeney, Catcher Stewart. What does our middle infield hold? Never hear anything about it! Thanks!!

There's not much. Pedro Lopez, Robert Valido and Chris Getz are the most you might have heard of.

Along with what Heads said, we got nothing. Valido had the potential to be a stud, but it seems that was steroid aided. Getz is a future utility player at best, and the same goes for Lopez.

I would say Lopez is future utility player at best but you sell Getz short. He wouldnt have any power but he has the tools to be a tablesetter in the mlb. Will he? prob not.

It's just easier to tell yourself nothing is credible within our system. Covers every division of a team; from catcher to relief pitching.

Squat. Valido is a defensive stud, Lopez and Gonzalez can also play very good defense. However, none of them are very good hitters. Getz is the best offensive/defensive player we have but he doesn't have a high ceiling. That said he's a solid defensive 2nd baseman.

Well he can be more realistic and say we have a few good arms in our system, but nothing outstanding. We very well could have 3-4 solid major league pitchers in our system.
