Rowand44
My friend came up with the idea and it's pretty fun to do if you have some time. You're building your own baseball team, you have the top 25 picks so you can take whoever you want and you have a 90 million dollar payroll(based on 06 salaries). It takes a bit of time to do, to make sure the salaries match and such but I had a good time doing it. So... What would your team look like? My team ended up being about 89 million, I'll post it later. Edited October 19, 2006 by Rowand44

ZoomSlowik
Mine will definitely be forth-coming, I already have a ton of ideas... Edit- I think I might do 2: one without rookie and one with them. The second one is kind of easy... Flash Tizzle
SP - Francisco Liriano - $327,000. The remaining 89,673,000 will be spent cloning future Lirianos. ......and if that doesn't work, the rotation will resemble this: SP - Francisco Liriano SP - Johan Santana - $8,750,000 SP - Felix Hernandez - $340,000 SP - Carlos Zambrano - $6,500,000 SP - Justin Verlander - $980,000 Total: $16,897,000 I'll fill in remaining positions later. witesoxfan
Since quite a few others are changing the rules, I did too. I simply took players from teams that won fewer than 80 games this year, and every team is represented. C - Victor Martinez(CLE) - 800K 1B - Nick Johnson(WAS) - 3.2 mill 2B - Orlando Hudson(ARI) - 2.3 mill 3B - Ryan Zimmerman(WAS) - 327K SS - Hanley Ramirez(FLA) - 327K LF - Jason Bay(PIT) - 750K CF - Grady Sizemore(CLE) - 500K RF - Miguel Cabrera(FLA) - 472K DH - Travis Hafner(CLE) - 2.5 mill #1 - CC Sabathia(CLE) - 7 mill #2 - Brandon Webb(ARI) - 2 mill #3 - Carlos Zambrano(CHC) - 6.5 mill #4 - Scott Kazmir(TB) - 371K #5 - Felix Hernandez(SEA) - 340K CL - JJ Putz(SEA) - 415K SU - Howry(CHC) - 2.5 mill SU - Fuentes(COL) - 2 mill MR - Chris Ray(BAL) - 335K MR - Jon Rauch(WAS) - 335K Swingman - Matt Cain(SF) - 328K C - John Buck(KC) - 350K IF - Freddy Sanchez(PIT) - 342K IF/CF - Bill Hall(MIL) - 420K OF - Carl Crawford - 2.5 mill OF - Andruw Jones - 13 mill Payroll $49.585 mill So a quarter of my payroll is spent on a power bat for my bench...wanna fight about it?
