matt
QUOTE(FoxySoxGirl @ Nov 11, 2006 -> 08:07 PM) Why again is there a thread about HIGH SCHOOL football? Who the heck cares about adolescent teens...save your thougts on something that matters like College Football or even Pro Footaball Go Purde I don't think you understand, High School football is huge in Chicago and these kids give their all just for the sake of winning, not like the pros where you make millions to half a$$ it. College football is good, but theres nothing better than paying 3-5 bucks and seeing 8,000 people try to cram in the stands that are made for 2,000 and absolutley bleeding their school's colors. whitesoxfan101
I was at Kaneland/Sterling the other night. One of the best games i've ever seen, at any level, in any sport. Spectacular stuff. QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Nov 11, 2006 -> 07:27 PM) Lake Zurich 24- Rockford-Boylan 20! Final 4 baby! But there is bad news one of our defence's best players is in the hospital right now from a broken rib and a pierced lung so pray for him! His name is Kyle Skarb and he's a 2-star prospect that has commited to NIU so pray for him. You mean collapsed lung?? That's really weird, an NIU player (DB Bradley Pruitt) had that same injury earlier this year. He has come back to play though, hopefully Skarb has a simlar speedy recovery. Brian
QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Nov 19, 2006 -> 06:31 PM) Lake Zurich vs. St. Rita for the 7a final! Go Bears! Knock St. Rita off their high horse! I guarantee you they are already planning the parade. Any news if Skarb will play? I heard he dressed on Sat but obviously didn't get in. Shutting down Prospect should raise eyebrows but there are still teams that don't believe in Lake Zurich. of course these are the writers who don't cover prep sports north of Evanston. Yeah, you're way off. SR isn't planning any parade and trust me, they aren't writing LZ off. Those coaches have been analyzing many of LZ's game films all week. They were also at the game when LZ played Prospect. So trust me, they want to know every possible thing there is to know about LZ. And to the LZ fans, you may think OUR heads are big, but trust me, YOU'RE the ones who sound like you've got it locked up already.

Watching game film and going to the next opponents games are standard practices for football coaches during the regular season. Your tone sounds as if you think the St. Rita staff invented the process. In any case, I hate all Catholic schools, particularly Mt. Carmel, so I hope LZ and WWS roll this weekend. Then we can hear Mrs. Lenti and Mrs. Sharp and Mrs. Kuska b**** about the multiplier.

Then we can hear Mrs. Lenti and Mrs. Sharp and Mrs. Kuska b**** about the multiplier. I understand that it is a normal process to watch game film and such. I didn't mean for it to sound as if they had "invented it". I'm just sick of hearing people say things like "they are probably already planning a parade". They would never take their opponent lightly, especially the one they are playing in THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! I also don't understand some peoples' hatred for Catholic schools. Alot of public schools and their fans seem to have grudges against Catholic schools, even if they don't play them. If it's the recruiting factor that bothers you, well then you'll just have to deal with that. It's been that way for a long time, and there's no end in sight. I understand that many public school fans think it is unfair to have recruiting in Catholic schools, since public schools cannot do it, but the sole reason Catholic schools (any private school really) can exsist is recruiting. Whether they are a great athlete or a really smart kid, they MUST be recruited to come to a private school or that school would not exsist. Simply put, without recruiting, schools like SR, MC, BR, etc would not exsist and generations of tradition would vanish both within the school and within families who have several graduates of those schools. WHarris1
Hahaha Mt. Carmel. Bye bye. Having seen WWS, Mt. C, and LWE all play this year, WWS becoming 8A champs is no surprise. Edited November 26, 2006 by WHarris1
whitesoxfan101
The speed of St. Rita and WWS was incredible. I had heard about Lake Zurich's speed all year, but St. Rita made them look really slow. And damn, that WWS team is unreal, nobody blows out Mt. Carmel like that ever. Skarb was good though for Lake Zurich, can't wait to see him at NIU. -Craig
