What would White sox Fans Say

Just wondering how badly folks would have fried BA if he had slipped and lost a killer routine fly ball the way Granderson did last night, especially if he had one hit in the WS.

and what about Pods?

What if he had made that play that Monroe made, slow start, bad route?

He'd have to go into witness protection with Bartman.

Thoughts?

They would be calling for A-Row to come back to center, and Pods to sit the bench. But what has really changed, nothing, people are still calling for A-Row back and to now trade Pods. But Anderson will be fine this year in center, he found his stroke and will be okay. Pods in the words of Hawk

:hawk: "HE GONE!"

What does that make us?

Yeah, really. Other than this series (which still, BTW, isn't over -- isn't Jeff Weaver going tonight for the Cards? And, you do NOT want to go back to Detroit if you're St Louis), Tiger fans should be proud of their team this year, and know that they have two kids under 25 who are already top of the rotation pitchers in Verlander and Bonderman, and potentially two more on the way in Miller and Sanchez. That makes no mention of Wilfredo Ledezma, who could turn out to be pretty good himself.

Who says Anderson found his stroke?

He gave me a stroke watching him take feeble swings at the ball and hit

blistering pop ups.

he slipped. you can't fault him for slipping.

The one thing you don't want to do if you slip though is the flip-over that Granderson did. It took his eye off the ball, and held him on the ground for longer than he should have. If he fell straight down, he might have had a chance to get back up and get moving again, but that flip threw him all out of whack.

He's 1-7 (.143) so far with the Tiburones. A small sample, but not inconsistant with the larger sample we saw last summer. I really think the team should bring in a legit CF, maybe along the lines of a David DeJesus. Then if Brian wants to play, all he has to do is play better than him. I think it would help both Brian and the team.

Why the hell would the Royals trade DeJesus? He's one of the few bright spots they have on offense and defense as well. They're not going to hurt their team just to help the Sox.

Right now the Royals have a ton of bright spots on offense. Shealy, Sweeney, Teahen, Dejesus, and a few others I'm forgetting. Their problem is their pitching staff...they look to have assembled some real talent on offense, and that may well cost us some wins next year.

When you suddenly slip do you know exactly how you are going to fall, or if you don't, do you know your position well enough (which you'd have to realize in close to 1 second) to adjust and fall the "proper" way? Give me a break.
