southsider2k5
I have been trying to follow the NBA draft in at least as far as it applies to the Bulls. The NHL draft is too hard to follow, and there isn't much info on it.

We are trying hard to trade the 7 pick as I understand it. The players we are most likely to deal sound like JWill, Fizer, ERob, and maybe even Rose if we can get a big time scorer. They want to get at least a big time defender at the SF position if they can't find their big time scorer. I think Crawford is going to stay here. LDF
i been hearing that this russian center who is 7'5 + 300 lbs and still growing is dropping in the draft. should we draft him if he is still there??????????????? here is a reason why he is dropping. Podkolzine draft status likely unaffected By Chad Ford ESPN Insider Pavel Podkolzine, an 18-year-old, 7-foot-5, 303 pound candidate for the 2003 NBA draft from Siberia, wowed NBA teams in a private workout in Chicago two weeks ago. However, a routine physical given by the league at the Chicago pre-draft camp raised the issue of a possible pituitary disorder for Podkolzine. For the past week, Podkolzine has been talking to doctors, taking blood tests and trying to get a handle on what's going on, while at the same time, flying from NBA city to city for individual workouts. Podkolzine finally received a definitive diagnosis on Tuesday. Podkolzine's agent, Justin Zanik, faxed a letter to all 29 NBA teams Tuesday night detailing Podkolzine's situation. The letter, which was written by pituitary specialist Dr. Hrayr K. Shahinian, Director of the Skull Base Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, claims that Podkolzine suffers from acromegaly (a growth hormone secreting pituitary adenoma). In laymen's terms, Podkolzine's pituitary gland secretes an unusually high amount of a growth hormone, which partly explains his enormous stature. According to the letter, with minor endoscopic surgery the issue can be resolved with no long-term consequences to Podkolzine's health or NBA career. The procedure lasts about two hours and has a hospital stay of 24 to 48 hours. If all goes well, Podkolzine could be back on the court shooting and running in 10 to 14 days. "I'm confident," Shahinian wrote, "that Pavel will realize his potential both personally and professionally." ESPN.com talked to the general managers of two NBA teams in the lottery who claimed that they learned of the general diagnosis last Thursday and their doctors had examined the evidence. Both GMs felt that the issue wouldn't stop them from taking Podkolzine with their pick. Chad Ford is a senior writer for ESPN Insider. Watch for his breakdown on Podkolzine's options on ESPN Insider on Wednesday.
southsider2k5
There was one quote on this kid and the big polish kid that really struck me. Neither one of them is playing a lot of minutes where they are now. If they are that good, why aren't they playing? I really agree with the Bulls theory on D. We need a guy who can go out and shut some people down. Our offense it coming around although if we could get a top 10 scorer and reduce our log jam at the same time at some positions I would be all for it. SoxFan1
Aahamm. I know A LOT about the NBA draft. I'll sunm it up: 1st pick: LeBron James DUH! cLEVELAND 2nd pick: Darko Milicic (Serbian like me!) Detroit 3rd pick: Carmelo Anthony Denver (If the pick isnt traded) The top 3 are absolutely 100% sure! After is a mess! If the Bulls get the 3rd or 4th pick, look for them to pick Chris Bosh or Carmelo Anthony. The 7th pick (Bulls) is up for grabs to whoever wants it. The Bulls offered J-Will and the 7th pick t Denver for the 3rd pick. That trade is unlikely. If the Bulls keep the pick, they will pick between DWayne Wade, Mikael Peitrus (France), and Maceij Lampe (Poland). Wade is the guy everyone wants us to pick. Peitrus is the guy the Bulls want to pick. Peitrus is a Wade clone except he's 2 inches taller (6'6) and is a better outside shooter. Lampe is a longshot (A Tayshaun Prince clone) BAsically, I say "Pick Dwayne Wade!" He's also a hometown guy and you know how much the Bulls LOVE hometown guys! YASNY
Well, I don't imaging the Bulls will be trading JWill or Crawford now... Since JWill didn't have enough sense to keep his multi-million dollar asset off of a motorcycle.
