Mets, Pads trade

We should be able to get Milledge AND more from the Mets in exchange for Garcia. The amount that organizations are willing to pay for pitching these days are absolutly ridiculous. It's only a matter of time before the pieces fall into place.

I'll pass on that. He's ridiculously over-rated.

Not to start an argument, but may I ask why you say that? His minor league stats suggest he looks to be a pretty darn good player. Not the greatest, but pretty darn good. Career minor league numbers, .308 batting, .385 OBP, .860 OPS, and his #'s in his last full minor league season, 2005 at AAA, were better in every one of those categories. His SB #'s leave some room for improvement, as does his SB %age, but that may well be something he could be taught. Strikeouts are a little high, but he also takes a good number of walks.

That was 2005 at A-, A+, and AA

It is good to see that while he hit at a worse clip, his OBP stayed in the same neighborhood.
