RibbieRubarb
A sad day for the film world. If film is the art form of the 20th Century, he was one of its greatest artists. We, truly, have lost one of film's most original voices.

Brian
He made some of the most boring movies I have seen, Nashville/Dr. T, but also made some great ones, MASH/The Player.
FlaSoxxJim
QUOTE(Brian @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 08:27 PM) He made some of the most boring movies I have seen, Nashville/Dr. T, but also made some great ones, MASH/The Player. Add Short Cuts and Gosford Park to the A list. I liked Nashville and The Long Goodbye quite a bit. Kansas City and Jimmy Dean were decent enough. And visually at least I'll even give Popeye some credit (did I just admit that?!?) Haven't seen Prarie Home Companion yet.
