Sox It To Em
QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Dec 5, 2006 -> 12:14 PM) I could probably even broaden it to most sports in general, minus the Sox. I'll catch an occasional game from our local minor league teams in baseball, basketball and hockey. If they win, great. If they lose, no big deal. Same thing with pro football and basketball. I'll watch a few minutes of a Bulls or Bears game, but the outcome isn't a big deal to me. I don't pay attention to hockey at all. The Sox are the only team that I actually care about whether they win or lose. I also have no problem playing most sports. Whether it's at the park with friends or on a video game. Same here, except I have a slightly-larger-than-casual interest in the Bears, but not nearly to the same extent as the Sox. The offseason is much harder for us one-team or one-sport guys. Kid Gleason
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 5, 2006 -> 12:57 PM) And its "manditory" f*** all that noise. It's mandatory for some of us. My boss has arranged it so that there is a meeting in the morning that I have to be there for (or so he says, even though I don't need the meeting) which will be right next to the "party". It's all so that he looks good to the owner. He told me I could just drive back here and finish my day working here and skip the party. It's all f*cked. CanOfCorn
QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 5, 2006 -> 12:27 PM) I have a new one!!! But I am not going to type it here in case my bosses happen to wander by. Oh...f*** it...mandatory company Christmas parties can kiss my f'in ass. Shouldn't that be Holiday party? MAN, are you insensitive! My wife's Holiday party is the day before mine...AT THE SAME PLACE!!! That kinda sucks. Kid, maybe you can suggest where the party should be next year...maybe Chuck E. Cheese or a strip club...then you will never be asked to go again... ...well, maybe they would want you if you suggested the strip club.
