RudyLawRules
Some interesting, older Floyd articles. This guy was annointed a savior when he was dafted. http://phillies.scout.com/2/535765.html http://phillies.scout.com/2/315671.html http://phillies.scout.com/2/236586.html http://phillies.scout.com/2/342166.ht One interesting quote: Over four seasons, Gavin Floyd has grown at a rapid pace. The Phillies ultimate plan, or so it’s been said, is to keep Floyd in a Phillies uniform for the next decade. For years, people have known he was special and that it would not take him long to reach the major league level. Paraphrasing a catchy line, “Now is his time.” And it is thrilling to look forward to. bkmoney
this is probably where it started going downhill "Highlights of his rookie year included an impressive 166 innings pitched, 3 complete games, a 2.77 ERA, and a no-hitter. In that game, a walk and an error led to an unearned run, and a 1-0 loss for Floyd. " ouch

He walked the leadoff man, he stole second, sac fly to center, and a throwing error by the 3rd baseman. Steve9347
I remember when Gavin Floyd first made the jump to the Majors, I picked him up for my fantasy baseball squad because Sporting News said he would be "this season's Mark Prior." Floyd was untouchable two years ago. Two season's of ERA's over 6 have changed that story... but obviously the talent has to be there somewhere.
