The contract may include an option for 2008. Not only will Giles fail to get the raise he expected, but by going to San Diego, he's hurting his chances of pulling down a big contract as a free agent next season. Petco Park will hold down his numbers and make him a lot less interesting for fantasy purposes. At least he'll get to play with his brother. Per rotoworld.
