Diplomacy and negotiation are the same thing. The sooner you accept it, the sooner you can begin to heal.... or something.

Well if they have an underground test in Tehran, we wont have to negotiate. Because Israel will take some of their fusion based weapons and turn Iran into glass.

Maybe we can hold some dumb negotiations while cash starved and crazy NK starts to bring terrorist organizations in, to sample some of the product.

Do you really think Israel would launch a war with an unprovoked nuclear strike?

How long do you think that Israel exists the minute Iran can get the weapons over to Israel. Drive them into the sea, scatter their electrons to the 4 corners of the world...what does it matter.

I believe that the minute Iran tests a nuclear weapon, Israel is at war with Iran and will use whatever means necessary to stop the threat.

Which means that if that moment comes, the entire middle east will cease to exist.

Trust me, when a mushroom cloud is going off over Tehran I dont think that other governments in the middle east will be willing to run into the frey.

What I was saying was that if one goes off over Tehran, then I would expect the next step to be one going off in Tel Aviv, at which point, israel just turns the whole middle east into glass.

The Isrealies will do whatever is necessary to protect their homeland and people. When they say "never again" they mean it. If they're going down they will go down swinging.

More Irani woes... It seems they are late on the payments to Russia for their nuclear plant. It's sad that they most effective way to stop their nuclear program seems to be Iran skipping out on their bills.

Russia warns Iran of 'irreversible consequences': report 2 hours, 58 minutes ago

MOSCOW (AFP) - Russia warned Iran on Tuesday of "irreversible consequences" for the Bushehr nuclear power station project should Tehran fail to resolve a financing dispute, state-run RIA Novosti reported.

"We cannot wait longer for a decision by the Iranian side," Vladimir Pavlov, director for Russian contractor Atomstroiexport's Bushehr work, was quoted as saying. "Delays in restarting the financing will bring irreversible consequences."

Pavlov said, however, that negotiations in Tehran between Atomstroiexport and Iranian officials were proving "fairly constructive," RIA Novosti reported.

Russia accuses Iran of falling behind on payments for work at what is set to be the country's first nuclear power station.

On Monday, Atomstroiexport announced that the crucial delivery of nuclear fuel to the almost completed facility would be delayed, probably by two months.

Iran claims that Russian financial problems are causing the trouble.

The United States accuses Tehran of hiding a secret military programme and has urged Moscow to back away from construction of Bushehr, which Iran says is needed to generate electricity.

File this one under "It was just a kiss"

Ahmadinejad under fire for embracing his old teacher

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been accused of indecency after he publicly embraced and kissed on the hand an elderly woman who used to be his schoolteacher.

At a ceremony on Tuesday ahead of Iranian teachers' day, Mr Ahmadinejad was photographed and filmed by state media stooping to kiss the woman's hand and then clasping her arms in an embrace.

The ultra-conservative Hezbollah newspaper, which is not related to the group in Lebanon of the same name, criticised him on the front page.

"The Muslim Iranian people have no recollection of such acts contrary to sharia law during Islamic rule [since the 1979 revolution]," it said.

"This type of indecency progressively has grave consequences, like violating religious and sacred values."

The elderly woman, who was not named, wore thick gloves along with a headscarf and long black coat, meaning that Mr Ahmadinejad avoided any skin contact.

But his action raised eyebrows because according to sharia law, it is forbidden for a man to have any physical contact with a woman to whom he is not related.

While Mr Ahmadinejad is considered an ultra-conservative in the West, this is not the first time he and his Government have been attacked by hardline elements even further along the spectrum.

He courted controversy when he unsuccessfully proposed women be allowed to attend football matches, and one of his vice presidents came under huge pressure last year after allegedly watching a woman dance at a ceremony in Turkey.

But other hardline publications published the images of the latest incident without further comment. "A kiss on the hand for the teacher," was the headline in the government daily Iran.

Mr Ahmadinejad's action appeared to be a public gesture of humility before Iranian teachers, who have publicly protested against low salaries and accused the Government of not doing enough to improve their work conditions.
