EvilMonkey
The Somali Islamic Courts Council (SICC) said they wanted peace talks, and backed off a threat by defence chief Yusuf Mohamed Siad "Inda'ade" that gave the Ethiopians a week to leave -- thrusting war fears into overdrive. "We want the talks to continue and the Ethiopian troops to leave," SICC spokesperson Abdirahman Ali Mudey said. "We did not mean we will attack them if they don't pull out but that talks cannot go ahead unless they pull out." Sounds like Somalia issued a deadline to Ethiopia, and Ethiopia said no. But I would agree with your line, who would have thought Ethiaopa had jets?!?!

Mplssoxfan
As far as the jets are concerned, they probably have MiGs given them during the 80's -- but that's only a guess. I was in a cab tonight and my (Somali) driver was very interested in the BBC news update. I wonder why...
