I WANTED to see Sinatra before he died, and even tried to get tickets when I was in vegas many moons ago and he was there. But since it was last minute, it was waaaaay over my budget. Wayne Newton was the other one I wanted to see, and i did a few years back. i caught one of his Christmas shows in Branson. 3 hours long, and worth it. Now? Noone, really.

Anyone ever seen Billy Joel? He's coming to Birmingham in February and I am thinking about going. The tickets are pretty pricey, but I think it may be worth it.

Billy Joel is worth the money. I saw him and Elton John a few years back, and was really disappointed in Elton, but really surprised at how awesome Billy Joel was. It was the exact opposite of what I expected.

I don't even like Billy Joel (dragged to see him by a woman, ain't it always the case? :D ) and I was highly entertained by his show.

I've seen every band I really wanted to, with the exception of four:

Thin Lizzy - Phil Lynott is dead, therefore so is Lizzy. They're going to tour with John Sykes singing, and I may just try to catch them.

Queen - Freddie is dead, and Paul Rodgers is too different vocally for me to be interested.

Jim Carroll Band - Jim doesn't tour with a band anymore, so that's probably out, too.

David Lee Roth-era Van Halen - They might be reuniting, but without Michael Anthony, which means I'll pass. Even with MA I'd probably pass anyway, just because I think VH's time has passed.

Well then take off that T-shirt before you jinx the band and they break up! :P

Elvis Costello would be kickin too.

I wanted to see Elvis Costello for the longest time, but I made the mistake of seeing one of his "intimate performances in a casual setting" - just him and Steve Nieve, guitar and piano, at the Arie Crown Theatre here in Chicago.

I literally fell asleep during the show, and walked out when I woke up.

It was a HUGE disappointment, and now I don't even want to see him with The Attractions anymore.

George Michael...

But the way he falls asleep behind the wheel all the time, I think I'm circling the drain.

George Michael was totally worth it...in the 80's. Not so sure about now.

Elvis Costello is on my list as well.

Also:

Tony Bennett

Either of Wayne Newton or Englebert Humperdink

Ben Folds

Iggy Pop

GG Allin (whoops...already dead...SURPRISE!)
