beautox
Sisco and Williams talked shortly after he arrived from Kansas City, and the decision was made to put Sisco back on track for the starting rotation. In the interim, Sisco will join Matt Thornton and possibly Boone Logan or Heath Phillips as the left-handed core of the White Sox bullpen. These plus arms join the right-handed tandem of closer Bobby Jenks and Mike MacDougal, providing almost as daunting of a challenge as the White Sox very deep starting rotation. link

South Side Fireworks Man
In 2007, Sisco will either be in the Sox pen or starting at Charlotte.
Greg The Bull Luzinski
I believe Sisco will in the starting rotation almost as much as I believe KW when he said BMac could start the year in Triple A.
zygoat
I believe sisco would be the best out of the pen, He throws it almost as hard as bobby but is a lefty. I dont see how putting him in Charlotte would help us at all, we've done enough to insure some quality starting pitching prospectts
Heads22
Well, I'm glad to see he'll start in the pen. I don't want him near the rotation right now.
DBAHO
QUOTE(zygoat @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 07:11 AM) I dont see how putting him in Charlotte would help us at all, we've done enough to insure some quality starting pitching prospectts Well it wouldn't help in the short- term, but I don't see that as the main reason for acquiring him anyways. I'd rather sign a lefty in the FA market (don't know who else is left out there), to join Boone and Thornton as the 3 lefties in the pen. Long - term, I think Sisco will certainly have more value as a starter, especially if he can get his stuff back.
WilliamTell
Keep Sisco in the pen and try out others for that 5th spot. He'd be more valuable in the pen imo.
greg775
I say start him. We need a power lefty in the rotation.Everybody but us in the AL seems to trot lefties out there every other night. YASNY
Give Sisco his shot like all the others. If he earns a rotation slot, he earns it.
RockRaines
If they can solve some of his mechanic issues, he could be a deadly starter.
spiderman
Sicso can help the White Sox most out of the bullpen as a left handed specialist. That's where he'll be IF he's on the major league roster.

shipps
Iam starting to now feel that this trade will never pan out.I really like him as a lefty coming out of the pen,but to be a starter he will take a while to develop.
southsider2k5
If we really want to get the most out of Sisco, we send him to Charlotte and rebuild him as a starter. We have the technology....
AirScott
OK, now how many of you actually read past the point of "back on track for the starting rotation?" article goes on to say "in the interim," Sisco will pitch out of the pen. SO...Sisco will pitch out of the bullpen in 2007 while the coaches work with him in hopes of making him a viable 2008 starter. What did you expect to get for Ross Gload??? Ross was a nice utility player and pinch hitter and all but...c'mon now, if Sisco even fails in his attempt to start in 2008 and remains in the pen (6'10" power lefty) forever, this trade will pan out. Baines3
I would use Sisco out of the bullpen to start with. Yet I wouldn't rule out Sisco starting the season in Charlotte.
Balta1701
QUOTE(whitesox1976 @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 08:05 PM) I would use Sisco out of the bullpen to start with. Yet I wouldn't rule out Sisco starting the season in Charlotte. If Logan can somehow come out and have another impressive spring, yeah, I start Sisco at Charlotte. If Logan falls apart in the regular season again, he has a very short leash with Sisco down there, but I think it would do good to start him at Charlotte given his history. spiderman
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 1, 2007 -> 11:37 PM) A left-handed specialist? Pitchers with his stuff really aren't ever specialists. I think they are going to put him in situations that he is likely to succeed early on - remember, despite the talent he does have, he sucked last year. I think early on, we won't see him much in late inning situations, but will be more of a 5th/6th inning guy.
