Based on what I heard about the fans reaction to todays game on the North Side, there is now garbage on the field during AND after the games. Only the Cubs.....and btw, WOW Rivera was awful tonight, but he had no business being in in the 8th. It's April, Joe, and you still had a 3 run lead.

Wait a minute? You mean Ozzie isn't the only manager in the history of baseball that makes questionable decisions? Is Joe Torre an idiot now? Should he be fired? Couldn't any wannabe from a message board win with a 2 trillion dollar payroll?

to be entirely fair to Torre, Rivera's had a few 1+ inning saves in his day. Probably around 50-60.

That being said, yeah, Joe Torre should have pretty much been fired after the Crisp AB. ;)

Torre doesn't consistently make bad moves, but that one was an epic stinker. And the payroll doesn't change the lack of talent their pitching staff has.

I will admit however that with what i've seen in 2007, it just looks like maybe Ozzie had a bad year in 2006. I agree with Hawk that managers are like players in that regard, but Ozzie's year last year was one of the worst years I've ever seen any manager have. Hopefully he continues to be much better this year.

Did anyone see the highlights of the Nationals/Marlins game? Matt Chico was horrifically wild, so wild that and threw one pitch into the stands. Hilarious moment. The commentators and the Marlins bench were laughing histerically and poor Chico was sweating bullets. That was the worst "pitch" I've seen.. maybe ever.

Joe Morgan kills me.

"I've never seen anything like this, I've never seen 4 home runs (in a row)."

O RLY Joe?

Remember that?

I believe that was um, LAST SEPTEMBER.

Philip Hughes will make his Major League Debut for the Yankees this Thursday. I guess planning to let talented kids grow up only lasts as long as you're not swept by Boston.

15 day DL for Eric Gagne with a Hip Injury. That didn't last long either.

Rich Harden and Milton Bradley to the 15 day DL. Man, seriously, I could post these last 2 items and you wouldn't be able to tell which year it was.

Jaret Wright and Ramon Hernandez both are starting Rehab Assignments.

No One, including his mother or his brother Willie, seems to be able to get in touch with Willie Aybar.

Alex did it again today. He is amazing.

He's awesome.

Indeed. Too bad he's a Yank, cause I absolutely love Arod the player.

Eh, that doesn't bother me. Now, if he were on Boston...Yuck.

I am the same way, although I really do like Ortiz. He just seems to have a blast with the game.

I have no problem with Ortiz, and I really don't even have a problem with Manny besides the Manny being Manny crap. I absolutely despise Josh Beckett and Curt Schilling though. 2004 made me absolutely hate all things Red Sox, they're by far my most hated team in baseball.

Josh Beckett will forever be a favorite of mine after 2003.

I'm watching Ned Yost manage a horrific 11th inning here vs the Cubs. How on earth do you pitch to Soriano with an open base with a pitcher on deck? It's shocking how bad the NL is.

Its funny...I too hate the Red Sox more than the Yanks. The reason is because everyone still acts like the Yanks are the only team that tries to buy World Series (and yes I'm jealous, I would have no problem at all if the Sox were in the Yanks position with 26 or so world series titles) but BoSox fans act like they are some small market team and it just sickens me.

However, I absolutely love watching Arod/Manny play (Manny at the plate more than anyone).
