shipps
280/15/75, The most predictable player on the Sox if he's in the 2 spot.
knightni
.290 18HR 70RBI I can see more power out of him this season as he spends another season facing mlb pitchers. Edited January 9, 2007 by knightni
BMac Attack
I'd say .280/20/80. I agree with knightni about the power numbers, I never really saw him as a power guy but Ozzie and others have always said there is that potential, so the third season would be when it would show up, I'd think. bigruss
.286 18 hrs 79 rbi i hope he can make up for Pods if he struggles again, it always seemed to me that guch hit much better with pods on base, but i could be wrong
RME JICO
I just hope Gooch figures out how to hit LHP. .285, 25 HR, 80 RBI
Chisoxfn
Duplication of what he did the past two years. Ie, be a very good #2 hitter who plays steady defense. Guchi does nothing flashy, but everything good. I would like to see him improve against LHP and see his strikeouts go down a bit.
sircaffey
Gooch did improve slightly last season in his HR, BB:K ratio, AVE. I see about the same slight improvement from him next year at the tune of: .285/.360/.440 20 HR, 70 RBI, 12 SB We're going to need improvement from Iguchi if Pods is still leading off. The Ginger Kid
.305/21/75 this is based on the very optimistic assumption that Podsednik rebounds strong and Iguchi sees even more fastballs and mistakes with Pods creating chaos on the basepaths.
