BrandoFan
If Colon makes his pitches, they may not touch him at all, but he keeps falling behind My opinion is this: Colon simply doesn't care enough, he is very calk-- too calm. Man... the dude is pitching a one.. correction, 2 hitter. What more do you want? No, no, today is he (knock on wood) is very good. But falling behind Lenny Harris 3-1 is NOT ncessary with his scary stuff.
BrandoFan
Oh, Val....no way it's an error, but I wish he would have f***ing made it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Falling behind Lenny f***ing Harris-- that leads to trouble.
cwsox
what an odd play by Jose I can;t decide if he should have handled that or not - it was a great play to get to the ball but then he plays catch with himself won't argue that it was a hit - good and bad in a flash second on that play
YASNY
No error .. but having the force at 2nd would have given him more of a chance to get an out. Tough play to make.
BrandoFan
what an odd play by Jose I can;t decide if he should have handled that or not - cwsox: You say nothing when Crede clearly misplays the ball...but when Jose finally fails to make his 4TH defensive gem of the game, you can't decide?! The problem was 3-1 count on Lenny f***ig Harris.......JIMENEZ BAILS OUT APATHETICAL COLON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
clujer420
HOW SWEET IT IS! Nice play by Jimenez, and a beautiful dig by The Hurt to end the threat. End 7, 1-0 Sox.

If Valentin comes up and gets it out of his glove cleanly, he's probably got a relatively easy force play and 2B with EK "running".
YASNY
I thought that ball to Crede took a hop on him. Not sure it was a clear misplay.

As far as ifs go, have you even seen the replay? If he handles it on a tough Wrigley outskirts of grass AND throws out the runner, it's a GG play- he is a "butcher", remember how can you expect him to make plays like that? aboz56
I finally had to quit watching on TV and turn on Rooney and Farmer. Can't take f***ing Chimp anymore.

LowerCaseRepublican
97 pitches for Colon so far. And it did look like that ball took a hop on Crede. And the play for Valentin was difficult to make in the first place...and it didn't help that he bobbled after he got it. But hey, we're winning. Him and the governor are too much to listen to.
clujer420
What's there to say?! Are you for real? My goodness... Uh, yeah, what are we supposed to say? "Not a good play by Crede"...what good does that do? he is a "butcher", remember how can you expect him to make plays like that? I don't recall EVER calling Jose a butcher. If you have a post by me that says otherwise, I'd like to see it.

aboz56
Damn it, brings in Marte, this means Cardiac Koch will most likely pitch the 9th.

BrandoFan
Colon...THIS is the time to show what you got!!!! No more 2-0/3-1 counts, no more lazy, sub-95mph fastballs, ace them with your slider, splitter, curve or if you prefer 99mph laser on outside corners. BrandoFan
Colon is done and so is Zambrano. Zambrano must have thrown close to 120 pitches and at 22 that's not wise.
