As a shaggy haired person, I'm gonna go ahead and say BA needs to keep it long.

He was all clean cut at the begining of the year and SUCKED

He let it grow toward the end of the year and SUCKED a little less.

I think the choice is clear....

Touché, Cali.

You need to stick around Soxtalk more often. We miss you. :headbang

Did anybody hear Buehrle's soundbyte at soxfest as he was interviewed by Bruce Levine. Mark said he wants to stay in Chicago. He made a comment that he might as well sell his house here in Chicago because on what KW has said about him not coming back after this year.

I didn't hear much about it either, but I think the Bears had a lot to do with the lack of coverage. I think is was sold out right? I want the hear from some people who were able to go? What were some of the questions that the fans had. Which players were cool? Anything that may be of interest to this Sox starved fan counting down to spring training.

Yeah, the Bears playing in the Superbowl likely pushed them to back, but I'm still surprised it was buried. Two weeks between games presents a lot of time to cover other sporting events within our city.

I couldn't even tell you where Soxfest is, let alone whether it's sold-out. I do know the venue was changed from its usual location-- that's about it. :D

Seriously, I had no idea Soxfest was this weekend. The marketing department did a poor job advertising. I read both Chicago papers during the week and I don't recall either posting upcoming previews about this.

They sold out. How much more marketing do you need?

Just got back home. Great weekend. Was able to get AJ and Bobby to sign the cover of the SI 2005 World Series edition (AJ was limping BAD on Friday night, no idea why though). Town hall meetings were great, with KW and Oz being their usual candid selves. Though I thought Kenny was going to kill someone yesterday when he admitted to being "too honest sometimes" and this woman tossed out over the mic, "you would have thought you would have learned from the Frank Thomas situation." To which he gritted his teeth and said, "That was a COMPLETELY different story."

The seminar with Anderson, Javy, JG, and Singleton was good. Brian addressed the mop-head issue and said more or less that Jerry implied that he wanted it cut off.

It was great to see Thome on Friday night, unexpectedly. Apparently he showed up halfway through the Konerko autograph session, sat down, and started signing.

Other than too many soda pop's at Howl at the Moon last night, the weekend was fantastic. The venue was a little confusing and maze-like from time to time, but overall not bad. The rooms, however, SUCK!

I had a great time today at the Sunday soxfest. I was able to park for free 2 blocks on the street, bonus.

The wierd thing was the layout. In soxfest's past everything is pretty much on one level, this time it took a while to figure out where everything is at. Using the narrow stairs between some of the floors was a bit interesting.

This was about as quick of an autograph line I have seen. they strictly enforced the sign one item routine and kept the lines moving. I was able to get a good amount of autographs. Konerko, Cintron(which no one showed up for), Sweeney who stole Brian Anderson's hair and shirt from last years Soxfest, Fields, and Owens.

Out of everyone Fields seem to go out of his way to personalize things. He asked me my first name, and then personalized the item for me. That was pretty cool.

I won about 5 shirts and 5 hats with the silly trivia stuff from the Chevy Pride Crew. The first question to me was "Who is the whitesox hitting coach".

Wow what a weekend!!

First off i was the chauffeur for a ladyfriend in a wheelchair.

That was an experience, Friday was a mess trying to figure out what elevators go to what floors, and what side of the floors they come down on.

As some areas were opposite the elevators, such as The exhibit and Food court.

Anyways we did figure these out eventually.

However it had its blessings as Wheelchair Folk were the first ones to get autographs, as we were up front, as the Players came up to the stage.

Also if i got a wristband for someone, my friend didnt need to get one and vice versa.

This way i got Jenks/aardsma Cintron/Contreras Sweeney/Owens

Baines/Walker And Buehrles autographs first thing.

You may have seen me up front along with another Sox fan, im sure a lot of people have seen, he's a tall guy, with a silvery/Gray Mop of hair like from the 60's. He has ST holder in sec 121 i believe and he's allways at soxfests.

Whats this guys name? He was in a wheelchair this year due to i believe hip replacement surgery.

I ran into a few soxtalk members there, its great to see people from the boards.

I did see Kevin Hickey and Ken Kravec in the Lobby bar.

The garage sale was way overpriced as jerseys went from $100-$700

too much for my taste, and the vendors were minimal, as it seems every year it gets smaller.

The seminar with Oz/Kw was fun, i did leave with a great optomism,

I love every move KW has made and i thing in two-three years we will be saying how AWESOME 3 or 4 of these "kid Arms" are.

Someone said AJ came in on crutches, Is this true?

Im pumped for the season, it is going to be TRIUMPHANT

I hope everyone had a good time, but there are alot of bugs to be ironed out in this setup.

Security was very Helpfull to the wheelchair people, and being staged on 4 floors or so, lines were smaller for autographs.

After the Jenks autograph we rushed to the Contreras line, but the wristbands were gone, but after seeing my friend was in a wheelchair, they escorted us up to the front of the line, how great is that?

Lots of fun, the food was limited, a few decent deals on merchandise.

Overall a very decent time.

You should have refused to answer out of protest.
