Gregory Pratt
Kap: Yes. I was able to pitch a baseball last year, to be sure -- just not particularly well. It wasn't a matter of pain or anything -- just that my mechanics were thrown off from years of not throwing and I had no muscle mass or anything, so my fastball had no Fast, and since I throw a sinking fastball, it didn't...sink...at...the...right...time... But now I'm at full strength. Perhaps better than I've ever been, doing Thrower's Ten and lifting and practicing. It's the first time I've ever trained for a baseball season as it's my senior year and I want to Go. I'm looking good, and I'm feeling good, and now I'm just working on mehcanical things for that first-and-final full season of ball.

Gregory Pratt
I think we should all wear black Sox caps but write, "Talk" next to it in white chalk. It'll come off easy in the wash and it'll be a uniform of sorts.
TornLabrum
I received an email from Stephanie today. So far only 42 tickets have been sold for the May 26 Patio Party. Tickets will go to groups and the general public after April 13. She requests that reservations be made sooner rather than later. Just a heads up. Whitewashed in '05
What date is this event?
southsider2k5
The Day of the event is Saturday May 26th. Softball at noon, baseball at 6pm. We do have the official word that the softball game will be taking place at Amour Park. We do have the official reservation done, and a HUGE thanks to Molto for being our point man on that project. Even if you have not already expressed interest, please feel free to come on down to the game, or even put your name on the list to play, in case other people cannot make it. Remember this is for Chicago Cancer baseball charities, so even if you can't make it, you could always send a donation, or show up to cheer us on in person. TitoMB345
Would someone be able to give me directions? I'm not very familiar with the downtown area. Also, there's a baseball game too? I didn't know that.
southsider2k5
There are two separate things that everyone is invited to. At noon there is a the Soxtalk/WSI charity softball game. the softball game is taking place at the park which is two blocks directly north of the ballpark. You can't miss it. At 4:30 pm the gates open and the annual WSI patio party will take place (which we are all invited to), and then if you order tickets to that, you also will get tickets for the baseball game at 6pm. The WSI thread has all of the information about tickets to the game/patio party, and this one has all of the info for the softball game. You do NOT have to go to both events, all though everyone is welcome to do so.

Gregory Pratt
HI GUYS Special announcement: Northsidesox and I are going to be meeting Sunday at about 12:30-12:45 for a Softball practice. Really we're meeting earlier but we won't be arriving at the destination until about those times. So, here's what we want: you! for practice! If you can make it to the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences on Sunday, around those times, until somewhere from 1:00-2:30, or so (I'm not sure -- NSS may have to leave sooner but if there are more of you I'll stick around with you, definitely) that'd be great. Come down and practice especially if you're in the Chicago area! Or just watch and shag flyballs for us or something, if you're not going to be on the team but live in the area. Can anyone come? Should be fun. Mods, I'm posting this in two places -- as a thread in SoxTalk Forum and on the Softball Info thread -- so it gets seen more. Hope you don't mind!
