LosMediasBlancas
Where will you be watching the Super Bowl? Let's have all the details. Throwing a party? How many guests? Whats on the menu? Goin' with kegs? Bottles? BYOB? Going to bar? Which one? What time? How do you plan to get a good spot near the TVs? Any good luck rituals? Chisoxfn
For me the party will be out at my parents place in Indio (its rented out most of the year). Myself and some good buddies are going to head out there tomorrow AM, shoot a round of golf in the day, bbq and play video games till the wee hours at night and than on Sunday bbq and watch the game. Should be some good times. Oh and I'm sure we'll hit up a casino while we are there.
Rowand44
One of my best friends down here is throwing a small party with basically our group of friends. Going to be lots of food, should be a good time. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 2, 2007 -> 04:31 PM) I guess I'm a loser, but for the SB, I am watching it with my dad. My GF is having a huge SB party at her house, but I just don't want to watch it with a bunch of people, and I know there are going to be alot of people not paying attention/other stuff going on. I want to sit on my ass, and watch every play. If I were a Bears fan, I'd be doing the exact same thing as you. Unless I'm at a game, I can not watch a game that means a lot to me with a big group of people, drives me nuts.
Jimbo's Drinker
Finn McCools Im 2-0 in there during the playoffs. I love a loud and crazy crowd.
WHarris1
Can't watch the game with people that don't care as much, just can't.
Jordan4life_2007
I'm watching it at home. No friends. No girls. Hell, I might even kick my family out during the game. I need total silence and concentration for this one.
Flash Tizzle
You know, I thought about watching the game at home; but after what happened during the World Series I'd like to experience a Superbowl with fellow fans. Closest I'll get to Miami. Game four in Houston I was bogged down studying for two exams. In a way, I was hoping we'd lose because the 3-1 would still be highly insurmountable. It would have given me an opportunity to atleast watch it with friends. So on Sunday, Game-Time in Palos Heights is my destination.
ShoeLessRob
Like most of what you all said, prefer to be alone or with family. Don't want to be surrounded by people who aren't even fans of the team... or even game. So planning to go a relatives house and enjoy the game. CanOfCorn
Going to a fellow Bears fan's house. He "imported" some Old Style...I'm getting some Italian Beefs...and I am going to wear the same thing I did for the Seahawks and the Saints, blue long sleeve shirt from Old Navy and my Orange "Da Bears" t-shirt. If I have to, I'll go into another room to watch, but I do want to be around people for hi-fives and hugs.

I want to sit on my ass, and watch every play. This is basically what I'll be doing on Sunday but not so much sitting more jumping, pacing and unnecessary yelling. I don't think I could fully get into it in any other environment. I'm crazy when watching football, vocal when watching basketball and incredibly subdued when watching baseball. Don't want to be surrounded by people who aren't even fans of the team... or even game. So planning to go a relatives house and enjoy the game. It's inevitable any venue with a large number of people will have their collection of casual fans. Or merely those attaching themselves to the spectable of a Superbowl and using it as an excuse to drink. As I said in my last post, I watched the World Series at home -- and certaintly didn't enjoy it any more because of the privacy. If anything, win or lose, I'll have more than enough time to reflect upon the game afterwards. If this were a normal Superbowl I wouldn't even go out. Obviously, this year is different. No one should have to spend it by themselves. Edited February 3, 2007 by Flash Tizzle

It is right by where there are all those polo grounds. Weird thing, the golf course is not a country club but apparently it was Eisenhowers favorite golf course during his presidency (and the course is ghetto for a course out in palm desert, albeit they are apparently fixing it up to make it nice). Freaking Sweet. This is the first time I've been there in about a year, but I'm going to try and make it out around the start of baseball season (most of the time the place is rented out) so I'll definitely hit you up than. What i hate about the super bowl is that it's more of an event than it is a game, if you get what i mean. Can't stand that s***. I'm watching it in my room. The gf may or may not come over, but that's about it. It's about the game. Just like Rowand, i can't watch a game with people, especially if they aren't hardcore/knowledgeable/focused on the game. Flash Tizzle
Well, my plans have changed. I don't know how I could have been so naive as to expect otherwise, but the neighborhood bar I was planning on attending with friends apparently has a $50 cover charge. Are they f***ing serious? I don't care if food is provided and limited alcoholic drinks are free -- no one can possibly reach the $50 mark without gorging themselves or drinking an absurd amount of hard liquor. If I didn't have school Monday, or an actual interest in watching the game, I wouldn't mind paying. It's just ridiculous to me that I can't even watch a damn game without catoring to the greed of some damn bar owner. I guarantee they'd draw more cusotmers if no restrictions were imposed and everyone were allowed in. Pisses me off.
Balance
Da wife and I are watching at home. I'll be making a pizza from scratch, and there will be enough Leinie's for me. I don't have to share the Leinie's, since da wife is pregnant. This is a good deal!
