I never would have thought to toss them in that mix. Perhaps Country Rock, espcially the first couple albums, but never southern. I thought there wqas more a California / Detroit mix IIRC. You won't hear .38 Special on a country station, but you will hear the Eagles. You won't hear Shania Twain on a rock station. Read through the southern rock links, very little cross over to country and western charts. Southern does not equal country.
