There were a few problems I saw when watching one of the videos on the game's site, not only are the walls green at the cell but the scoreboard is looking pretty blue, this could just be a blur effect because a blue scoreboard would be a pretty major screwup regarding the asthetics of the site. The jersey Uribe is wearing is just a joke I don't know how they could screw that up atleast they had Joe Crede wearing the high socks in one of the screenshots though they had Jermaine Dye charging hard for a basehit in the right center field gap and coming up firing, something he just doesn't do.

Overall though the game looks pretty damn good.

well, at least they still haven't bothered to make the white sox jerseys accurate. i don't know where they got the idea that there are white lines going down the front.

It sickens me how games can't even get the jerseys right (and not just this one). What a joke. Even if I was thinking of buying the game, which I'm not, seeing the Sox jerseys f***ed up would change my mind.

I dont see how they can use so much time to make a game, and figure out stats and ratings and then make a mistake on something like the colors of jerseys or outfield walls. Has anyone looked to see if they did this to many other teams.

See stuff like this is a mute point for me...I am more concerned that the game plays well and without any glitches. If I am trying to stike out Ortiz with Contreras, the last thing I care about is the color of the outfield wall at the Cell.

If anyone has read any reviews for the game this year, you'd see 2k sports has taken this apporach too. Less bells and whistles, better gameplay. The player models looks outstanding, hell they even have the same gloves they use in real life, but that doesnt seem to impress most MVP fanboys.....you can deal with Frank Thomas being the size of Tony Graffinino as long as the Cell Wall is blue?? CC Sabathia's model is a example of everything "right" about how a player looks in this game. From the huge overhanging gut to the tilted hat, I've never seen more realistic player movements and models. The way Jermaine Dye fields in the outfield probably doesnt extend to these characteristics, I'd imagine thatr would be near impossible to do... they'd have to record every single player in the game's movements, and there is no disc that could hold that much animation, nevermind the fact it wold probably take a decade to have every single MLB player to come in and record how they field. The fact they got most of the batting stances pinpointed is amazing in its own right.

Check out 2 of the clips from this link. Im all about the game being as close to real as possible, and it looks like they have done a great job of capturing the player tendancies. Watch Konerko bat, AJ swing, it's sick how real it looks.

Not too concerned about the jersey situaiton, it's their alternate jersey anyways.

Maybe the Sox changed there jersey's and MLB 2K7 was the first to know.

I was pumped for this game/demo to come out. I'm not used to the 2k system yet so I'm not sure how great it is. It seems to play pretty smooth and the graphics are really good on my LCD monitor. I'll be sure to check back with more

I agree, some of those are questionable. I picked up the game at lunch and was reading the manual, good thing is you can increase/decrease players ratings by performance in certain situations in the game. One example is the "payoff pitch", such as striking someone out in a 3-2 count, doing this will increase player ratings.

Gonna need a few hundred of those to get Gavin up to where he needs to be, should be fun season. :P

I'd be willing to bet that Hall's ratings are better than A.J. soley from defensive ratings...but I havent looked yet.

Rowand at 88 seems to be a bit high though

Key Ratings:

Pierz:

Plate Discipline: F

Strikeouts: F (such a crock)

Hall:

Plate Discipline: C-

Strikeouts: B

Hall is incredibly average defensively is basically all C's. Pierz gets a B- in Range, B in Anticipation, B in catching, B+ in Arm strength and B- in Call Game with the rest being C's. So it's not defense.

They both got F's in speed categories and walks.
