Exactly. I believe it was a superstitious move more than anything, he wore #32 in the minors but switched to #44 in the bigs and failed miserably. Why not go back to what has worked for you in the past.

I heard Brian say the same thing in an interview. He said he always wanted to Play in the NBA and he was a big Lakers fan.
