RockRaines
QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 04:14 PM) OSU is young Besides all off the defensive arguments in your post, this is what I would like to point out. They really arent as young as people really think. They start 2 freshmen, yes, but also 3 vets, including a 5th year. The game should be close, and the winner will be decided on whose part of the game shines more. Will it be OSU's speed and post play, or Tenn's perimeter game. Solid Point, both teams have some vets and youths. Guess we will see who wins when the game comes.

Guess we will see who wins when the game comes. Should be a good one. The upside of the lack of upsets is that we should see a very high level of basketball played in the next few rounds, which should really make this tourney exciting as hell. whitesoxfan101
Great looking bracket on paper. ATM and Memphis should be a classic, although I have a bad feeling about Memphis in a virtual road game with Douglas Roberts hobbling. For some reason, I think Ohio State is going to step up and give Tennessee some big issues tonight. Predictions: Ohio State 77 Tennessee 66 Memphis 68 Texas A&M 66 Edited March 22, 2007 by whitesoxfan101

ZoomSlowik
A&M got jobbed on that last call, should have had another second easy. Of course it would have been moot if they could get a rebound...

THAT IS f***ING GARBAGE I dont agree, the ball has to touch something out of bounds before the clock stops. From the bounce to when it hits the scorers table is how much time should have been taken off. They sat there with a stop watch and got the call correct. danman31
I hate to say it but Acie's legacy as far as A&M fans will be concerned is that missed layups. He was a great player, especially in the clutch, but he didn't get it done this game and that layup will be long remembered.

From the moment it touches the players hand to the moment that it touches the scorers table is how much time should have come off the clock. It's the time it takes to touch something out of bounds. It did not touch the tableuntil much after he touched it. Officials got it right. Although it seems wrong, the only thing that was wrong was the official timer trying to keep that time on the clock.

From the moment it touches the players hand to the moment that it touches the scorers table is how much time should have come off the clock. And remember not to time it while in SLO-MO, which is obviously what the refs did.

Nope, you are entirely wrong. They played it real time for them to time it. Rewind and watch that as well, they specifically said the refs want to watch it real time. They got the call right. Buehrle>Wood
If A&M wants to complain, they should complain about the ticky-tack foul at the end since similar fouls have not been called at the end of games in this tournament.
RockRaines
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 22, 2007 -> 07:56 PM) If A&M wants to complain, they should complain about the ticky-tack foul at the end since similar fouls have not been called at the end of games in this tournament. Really if everyone just watches it again you will see they got it correct. I just sat here and watched it real time and they were actually generous IMO. The ball bounces and at least 1 second comes off the clock before it touches the scorers table. They also shot the ball a second too early. Brian
Haven't see too much of Memphis, but wow, they are athletic and better than I thought. Derrick Rose running the point next year? Yikes!
ZoomSlowik
Things going really well for Tennessee, a lot of made 3's and Oden and Conley on the bench with 2 fouls.

ZoomSlowik
QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 22, 2007 -> 08:46 PM) Could Greg Oden be less impressive this tournament so far? The first two games he wasn't that bad, outside of that stretch against Xavier when Matta decided he wanted to go man to man and play Oden on a perimeter player. Plus what do you expect when he's matched up on a much smaller, quicker player? I can't think of too many 7-footers that can keep up with a SF type... If 14 points and 12 rebounds is unimpressive then sign me up. (against Xavier)
RockRaines
Tenn could headbut the ball and it would go in at this point. One phantom foul on Oden has changed the game so far.
