Balta1701
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 04:10 PM) I didn't get a chance to watch any of the game, so apologies if this is repetitious, but how did Garland look after the rough 1st? Velocity still down some...had some baserunners, but was getting some ground balls also.

Balta1701
A. Gonzalez goes full, strikes out. Wiki up. Wiki quickly grounds out. Doesn't seem like the best day to be a Gonzalez for the Sox. Edited March 14, 2007 by Balta1701

jphat007
I wonder if Nunez can be sent down to Charlotte. His stuff looked solid. Might be a decent back up right hand long relief option

Balta1701
QUOTE(bmags @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 04:25 PM) did nunez used to pitch for the marlins? Yes. The White Sox originally signed him to a minor league deal just over a year ago. Recorded 20 saves, put up a 3.41 ERA for the fish in 02. Hasn't pitched in the big leagues since 04, put up ERA's of 16 and 7 in 03 and 04 in about 20 games each year. bmags
that must hurt to taste some success then lose it. I'm sure most guys would still kill for that in the minors if they had no shot.
