southsider2k5
Has anybody looked ahead to see when his last start would be before the All-Star game? As a fan I would like to see him start, pitch one inning and get out. As far as the Sox's lack of success impacting his chances, why can't the argument be made that he's 11-2 dispite the horses*** season the Sox are having? Bingo....it's even more surprising that he's able to put up these numbers with a terrible offense and bullpen...if he's on the Jays he's won every start (not taking anything away from Halladay at all....however look at Lidle, who has about 10 wins with mediocre era and whip numbers) Give the Sox 2 runs in that 1-0 L, and Loz is 12-1! mreye
I don't believe baseball tonight picks who starts for the AL... I know, but it's just a sample of what the rest of the country is thinking.
SoxFan1
Thats not fair but I believe Scocia has an easy decision to make!
Rex Hudler
Dan Patrick (I know, I know) was saying that he supports over Moyer for starter ove Halladay because of experience and blah blah blah. Not a mention about Loaiza. Does he deserve it? No doubt. Will he get it? Not a chance. The Nationals don't give a crap about ELo or the Sox. I'll bet a lot of them don't even know he's 11-2 let alone about all the stats mentioned above. Well the Sox haven't given too many people much reason to pay attention, have they? Like I said, Loaiza is easily forgotten about because of the lack of success of the team and the attention is more focused on Buehrle and Colon. Not surprising to me at all. But not even a mention? Give me a break! By the way, 500th post!!! I'm a starter! I didn't say it was right... just that it didn't surprise me.

Hopefully Scosia, being a former player, will not be like the media.

mreye
WHEN do they announce who wiill start anyways? Voting ends July 2nd, but as far as the pitchers, I don't know.
Rex Hudler
Voting ends July 2nd, but as far as the pitchers, I don't know. Reserves and pitchers are usually named a day or two after the starters are named. The starting pitcher announcement usually follows another day or so later. A lot depends on how they work the rotation and when Loaiza is scheduled to make his last start before the game. With two off days between now and then, your guess is as good as mine when that will be.
AssHatSoxFan
i just hope he starts IF he continues to pitch well as of right now he would be the starter and as long as he continues to play well I will continue to support him as the ASG STARTER
