I for one, am more excied about the Weezer album after that article. I've never been that much of a Weezer album, but I do thinnk Pinkerton is a masterpiece and the Blue Album not far behind. The problem with their last few albums is that they've become way too formulaic - apart from a couple singles each, the rest of the album is awful crap.

So why not try and shake things up? Cuomo has always flirted with being a straight ahead pop songwriter (Buddy Holly, Hash Pipe) and it's clear this has always been a big influence on him-- but it's not cool to admit you have Beyonce, Hannah Montana, or Aly & AJ on your itunes, let alone pimp their music. But that music is pop at its purest - verses, choruses, and no pretension.

I love the single. it doesn't sound like Disney-pop to me, more like 60s British Invasion rock, and it's totally infectious. Can the rest of the album carry this vibe or will it fade after the first 3 songs into self-indulgent tripe? I hope not.

I'm less excited with Lil Wayne on a Weezer track, but hey, at least they're trying new things now, and not churching out the same old s***. I hope it's good.

As for Butch Walker, I saw him a few months ago - his latest album is awesome. It's a lot more personal, but the melodies and songs are there as always. And his live album has been a staple in my car for the last year. Avril Lavigne-aside, his stuff is way underrated.

because they are shaking things up by trying to sound like the jonas brothers. He also doesn't sing. He also is a s***ty songwriter now. He's also writing songs like he's andrew wk. He sucks. Eff him.

Kings of Leon older stuff is teh f***ing awesomeness.

So I loved their latest album so much I got their first and third. Both good albums. I can't stop listening to Fans and Ragoo. I listen to those two songs non-stop everyday and I haven't got tired of them. I'm gonna wait a bit to get their second album.

Their 4th album is a huge disappointment imo, especially compared to how much I liked their first 3. I saw them the other weekend in Milwaukee and it was just a really boring show. Of course 90% of the people there only knew their couple of radio hits.

White Rabbits are pretty awesome. " Percussion Gun" in particular is f***ing great with all the drum action.

And I have to say this about Back Spacer...I had low expectations for it but Pearl Jam still has me mumbling and singing along to their stuff.

Agreed and agreed.

I'd pretty much written Pearl Jam off, but Backspacer is a damn good album.

what songs should I listen off of white rabbits album because I have it, and I try to listen to it, then i turn on something else. Same thing happened with cold war kids, whom were compared to spoon their first go and obviously didn't have the connection that white rabbits does, and then someone played a song off of "robbers" and I realized I never really listened to the album.

White Rabbits are so much better and less annoying than the CWK. I dont know how to really answer what songs to listen too, I would just say that you know as well as the next that you have to listen to most albums a few times through to get a feel of what the band is doing. There are some cool subtle things that they throw in each song that I like.

Their top 100 of all time?

MC Hammer's You "You Can't Touch This" is on there but "Ice, Ice, Baby" isn't? That was a huge hit even though it's terrible.

Fight the Power is the #1 hip hop hit of all time?

I'd replace Pop Goes the Weasel with The Gas Face.

Gold Digger instead of Jesus Walks?

I really wish someone on here loved Chevelle as much as me. Their new cd really is their best. You all need to check it out, "Sci-Fi Crimes"

I do. "Roswell's Spell" is my favorite song on the album.

Golddigger was a bigger hit. If they are doing it based on sales, Jesus Walks probably wasn't that popular. I'm surprised I didn't see California Love on there with Pac and Dre. I would've put In the Club higher up. How We Do would've made the list by Game. The Block is Hot, which is one of my favorite Wayne hits probably doesn't deserve to be on there. Rapper's Delight should be #1 though. There's not one person I know who doesn't know at least the beginning of the song. Not many people can recite that Public Enemy song, though it is a nice song in it's own right. And I don't remember seeing C.R.E.A.M. on the list by Wu Tang.

And it framed the era. PE was a huge song, but it didn't revolutionize anything.

I also thought that Mind over Matter should have been the Ice T song in there. It is by far his best one.

There are a lot of easy criticsm that can be lobbed at this list. It's so faulty it's almost not worth being mad at it, but here goes......

You Gots to Chill is the EPMD song over Crossover or Headbanger?

LL gets two songs on here, but neither are high enough. Can't Live Without My Radio should be Top 5, and I Need Love was one of the first hip-hop love songs and should be early-20s at least. It's 60. Also, where's Goin Back to Cali?

Hold It Now, Hit It over Paul Revere, No Sleep Til Brooklyn, Fight for Your Right to Party, Hey Ladies, etc?

I'd have chosen Pusherman over Colors for Ice-T's entry (and maybe even Cop Killer) but why not give him a few slots?

Juicy for Biggie? And that's it? Are they crazy? Where's Big Poppa? Where's Hypnotize? Where's Ready to Die?

Only one NWA song?!!!!! Where's Gangsta Gangsta, f*** the Police, Boyz in the Hood, etc?

Can I get ONE Eazy solo song?

Meth's All I Need is #44???

love Nuttin But a G Thang, but Top 5 of all time? Uh, no. 15-20 is about right.

There's tons more to complain about but here's a start.......
