so god damn stage names isn't ... ugh.

Come again?

Is it me or does it sound like they sold out?

EDIT: I'm going to stick to my original opinion. "Stage Names" is just flat out terrible. I mean, what the hell?

Anyone a Velvet Revolver fan? Their new album leaked... pretty good.

What amazes me is how a band that is 3/5 Guns N Roses (granted Sorum is not original Gunners), and 1/5 Stone Temple sounds nothing like GnR, but exactly like Stone Temple. I guess it just leads to further proof that Traci Gunns actually did write Appetite, and Izzy was responsible for everything else that was decent from GnR.

Very true.

The only thing VR ever did that sounded like GnR is Slash's solo on "Slither".

Not the whole song, mind you - only the solo sounded like Guns.

I'm not a fan of Velvet Revolver at all.

To each his own... I use to really love STP.

I never said the new one was bad, I'm just saying that it is strange that the band sounds nothing like the band they came from, but they sound like the vocalists old band.

I wouldn't say it leaked when you can listen to it on their website...

however, I downloaded it through a torrent and its ok at best... again, not very impressive, similar to their first release. It was basically an STP album.

I'm sure the discussion for my next topic already went on, but Icky Thump is one of the best albums I've heard in the last decade...

Credit to The Critic.

Got an email from the nutty goof tonight pointing me in the direction of Man Raze, the new band from Phil Collen (Def Leppard, ex. Girl), Paul Cook (Sex Pistols), and Simon Laffy (ex. Girl). I gotta say, I though Phil had forgotten how to truly rock back when he left Girl. But here he shows quite the opposite:

anyone listen to Chris Cornell's latest album? any thoughts if you have?

Personally, I like it, but I think Cornell could take a s*** in a CD case and I'd like it (though I think that's what they did with Revelations). Quite a bit heavier than Euphoria Morning, but most definitely much lighter and more refreshing than anything Audioslave did.
