Listened to Kanye's album and it's probably his worse work to date IMHO. Suprisingly, two of his best songs ever are on the album, All Of The Lights(original leak was better) and Power(though I like the extended version better). Those are probably my favorite songs by him ever.

The rest of the songs are boring and mediocre.

New Cudi album is solid.

I don't own the first one...is it one of those albums you just have to have? I listen to the song previews on iTunes and it just doesn't pull me in, but obviously those are just 30 second clips...is it one of those albums that any self-respecting music fan just has to own?

It's close to being a must have but not quite there. And it's something I recommend listening all the way through. It definitely has a certain mood to it that gets lost if you throw it on shuffle with other artists. And I actually like the newer one better than his first one. Similar vibe but seems more polished to me.

One of my friends was really big into them (and Mike Patton in general) a while back.

I had heard of them but hadn't listened to them until yesterday, when I listened to their first album. It's pretty good stuff. A little eclectic, but that's rarely a bad thing.

I liked Kid Cudi's Man On the Moon better than MOTM II, though here's my personal favorites from the new release: Scott Mescudi vs. the World, REVOFEV, Erase Me, Maniac, Trapped in My Mind. Similar to the first Man on the Moon, you have to listen all the way through, and your tastes as far as the "best" song will probably change over time. There was so much good stuff on the first Man on the Moon that was hard for me to top. Songs like Soundtrack 2 My Life, Heart of a Lion, Day n Nite, Cudi Zone, Man on the Moon and Up Up & Away - made it real easy to listen to.

Also, had never listened to Girl Talk until this album, must say I like it.

Wow, this Kanye album is, IMHO, the best hip hop album since Tupac's All Eyez on Me. Absolutely brilliant.

I love the new cd as well. Kanye has a got a lot of talent, but he still doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/2010/11/...1-25_kanye.html

I think Disco Volante and California are two of my favorite albums of the 90s. Just so far out there.

California is a really good album. Just listened to it, really, really impressed at the different varieties that they can play well.

The song Pink Cigarette is so disturbingly fantastic. Incredible song.
