ACL Fest next weekend in Austin, TX....wish I was going.... :(

Muse, The White Stripes, Queens of the Stone Age (whose new CD Era Vulgaris totally rocks), Spoon among others that will attend.

Still REALLY wanting to see Muse myself, but can't ever work it out.

Remember the days when a band would list their tours on the backs of shirts and there would be atleast 100 dates??? I've noticed this more and more, a band goes on tour and only does about 20 dates. There really is no such thing as a "World Tour" anymore. Sad, really.

there is, but nowadays, a band has a different shirt for each region - to make more money, y'know.

btw, the new Talib Kweli album is frakking brilliant. Finally, a store-bought CD I can be excited about. Everything else I'm pushing this year are local LA bands - 100 times better than whatever is cool, trendy or on mainstream radio.

It seems like that would make less money, since a band could print one shirt for the entire country rather than several designs for each region.

But since shirts are outrageously priced at shows anyway, I guess they're going to make a huge profit no matter what.

Fun Midwest powerpop. Cool. Where did they play? They would have been right at home at Mabel's back in dinosaur days – coulda opened up for Combo Audio or Material Issue by the sound of them.

They played at the canopy club here, real small venue. Maybe 300-400 in the audience when they got on at midnight..........Snb was drunk and had a real good time.

the clean version of k-wests' graduation leaked. I'm debating whether to grab it.

I already did. I'm going to buy the album when it comes out, but I couldn't resist.

It's so f***ing fantastic. He sings "Barry Bonds" with Lil Wayne. I'm so giddy -- about halfway through it -- it's outstanding.
