Mostly because of the Dap-Kings backing her, and in my opinion was very much deserving of the awards she received. Also, the Marc Ronson album that came out (her producer) was also really good and should have gotten more exposure. So, I'm kinda all about the new Nada Surf and MGMT right now. I saw them open for M.I.A. back in November and really liked their performance. I came home and listened to a few of their songs and I gotta say while they were still decent, they were much better live. Something just didn't translate too well from the performance to the studio.
