So, I need some help:

My hard drive crashed just the other day. Obviously, lost all of my music on my computer (9000+ songs). On the positive side I have an iPod with basically all the songs I listen to on it.

My question is do any of you know a program where I can take music off of my iPod and put it into iTunes free of charge? I know there are programs you can use to do this but the ones I have found require a payment which I'd rather not do.

iRip used to give a 15 day trial but I think it's been taken down since. Download.com used to have it. So if you had this problem in 05, i'd have been great help.

Go figure, about 20 minutes after typing my last post I figured out how to do it without a program or anything.

I can't take credit but heres a link for those wondering:

Brian, just to hear him do Heroes and Villains. But be prepared for some rough patches through the night.

I went to go see Ted Leo and the Rx. Brian was playing on Coney Island and storms were threatening, the show at Battery Park had more opportunity to hide from bad weather. Frankly, I prefer remembering Brian Wilson as the reclusive mentally injured genius that he was in the 60s and 70s.

Don't get me wrong, I love that he's fully functioning and making new music and such, but I feel like I'm going to an Oldies show if I go see him, and I worked enough of those in Michigan to never want to see another one again.

Ted Leo was great btw. He plays faster live than he does on the album.

iDump, completely free. Backup all music and playlists. I've used it plenty of times, great program.

You can even throw the executable on the hard drive to carry with you.

saw the rock the bells tour in toronto this weekend--tribe called quest, de la soul, rakim & kid capri, nas, the pharcyde, mos def, method man & redman, and the cool kids. showed up too late for murs and some other acts, and the venue wasn't really prepared to deal with that many people, but the sets i saw were mostly fantastic.

I saw it on Saturday here in Chicago or Tinley Park to be exact. I've seen it the past 2 years in California.

It was pretty good. Nas was good, De La Soul sucked, they didn't even do Rock Co Kane Flow. Mos Def was another disappointment. He keeps doing new stuff and singing that boogie man s***. I wanted to hear Black on Both sides and some Blackstar. Meth and Red were great. I missed the cool kids and others since I didn't get there until about 4.

The venue wasn't great, but it was wayy better than San Bernardino CA.

I work security for Toyota Park and had my longstanding suspicions of Jimmy Buffett's lack of talent reaffirmed last night. Half his damn set is covers of other songs! And what's with all this frat-like terminology his hipster dufus fans have coined? Among them Parrotheads (which, supposedly, turned into Pirates), Landsharks, and probably several other words I just failed to catch onto. This is probably the same fate Dave Matthews will find himself in some day. Practically the same fanbase.

I understand the experience exceeds the actual show, but is this worth several hundred dollars? I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary aside from beach balls flying all over, people in Hawaiian outfets and a similiarly themed front stage. Personally, I'd rather tailgate than attend his show. Thankfully for everyone he'll have another performance on Saturday!

Totally agree with you on Buffett and Matthews, can't stand either one of them.

Sammy Hagar is rapidly becoming Jimmy Buffett Jr. (although Sammy may actually be older than Buffett) :D

If I ever had to attend a Buffett show, I would end up swimming in a lake of my own vomit.

HEY, LOOK AT ME, I'M PARTYING!!! THIS IS A PARTY!!! DID I MENTION I'M PARTYING AT A PARTY?????

Ugh and ugh.

Except Dave Matthews is one of the best guitarist of our generation. You can knock his music all you want, but he's a very very good guitarist.

Yeah, no come on man. There's a reason every bro with his shirt off is playing #41 or whatever.

People can play parts of some Guns and Roses songs, doesn't take away anything from Slash who is another stellar guitarist.

Dave Matthews is not the greatest guitarist of our generation in any way shape or form. He's not even top ... he's not mentioned.

Will you at least agree that Tim Reynolds is currently one of the best guitarist out there? I'd put Reynolds above John Mayer who is also a very talented guitarist.

he uses a lot of loops and that's all nice and well. John Mayer can imitate it but he doesn't have the soul.
