I thought Ted Leo and Rx were great when I saw them this summer. He plays really really fast live.

Upcoming Concerts for me:

10/14: Weezer at the Forum

10/23: Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band

11/5: Coheed & Cambria - "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: III" night of the Neverender

Debating on going to see Rise Against/Alkaline Trio/Thrice on Halloween. Not a fan of Rise Against, or the venue, but HUGE Alkaline and Thrice fan, plus on halloween you know costumes will be involved. The Alkaine/Thrice sets wont be long so thats a negative....who knows....

What's keeping you from doing it?

Transportation, if other people want to go, etc.

And really, I've only just started listening to them (actually, it was your vehement support for them LMB that got me to listen to a few things, and it went from there), so it's not a super huge deal either way.

I got ahold of the new AC/DC today. I like them. I like them a lot. I never expect too much out of them. I like them for what they are.

But man...this is boring.

Believe it or not, there is even a bit of a modern Country feel to certain aspects of it. I'm not saying you will mistake it for Country, but there is a touch in there for sure.

The Hold Steady cancelled their entire Euro tour because Tad is sick. I already bought my tickets so I mean I'm already in, but I'd wait a little bit now to see how he does.

Said tickets came today!

10/30- The Hold Steady/Drive By Truckers in Louisville

10/31- Halloween in Carbondale

11/1- Die

11/18- No Age/Titus Andronicus in St. Louis

11/19- Be reborn

I was bored enough by Rock & Roll Train that I lost interest in hearing any of the other new songs.

That said, their show on the Razor's Edge tour was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

I got another show for your list: Jackhead & Tenement Ruth @ PK's Oct. 25.

Judging by the stuff you like, you will enjoy this rock show.

Oberst's music is a little too weird for me now.

Eh, he's always been kind of an weird dude. I still dig this solo album, and love Cassadaga. He can really do no wrong in my eyes...

I see. FWIW, I've been to plenty of shows by myself. If you wait around for other people, you sometimes miss out on cool s***.

Ah, I should have been more clear. "Other people" = "Someone with a car."
