Kalapse
The Pepper Mill takes on his former team for the very first time. This has all the makings of a classic.

Kalapse
Not a lot of players can pull off the goatee, most look completely ridiculous. Jose sports that s*** nicely. And yes Hawk needs to give Gio his hat back.

Heads22
Brian smiling. How blissfully unaware. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 17, 2007 -> 03:06 PM) Wow, not even fitted caps. That's the sort of concessions we have to make to have room to sign Toby Hall. Count wearing long black sleeves today, which makes total sense with the chance of it hitting 100 down there today. GrindErstad with the first out. Ozzie loved his hustle as he jogged 15 feet. Easy inning for Count.

Mr. Showtime
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 17, 2007 -> 03:06 PM) Wow, not even fitted caps. It's a league wide deal. Cubs and Padres have the same deal. Was watching the Pirates and Twins earlier, and they had them as well.

CWSGuy406
Erstad is having a spring very similar to what I expect during the regular season. Coming into today, he was putting up a .317/.349/.390 line. If he gets lucky with his BAPIP, I think he could do something like this during the season -- very empty batting average, very few walks, but hey -- if he's hitting a lot of singles and is getting a little lucky, more power to him. The more realistic scenario is where he hits .270-.300, and, because he doesn't walk, his OBP falls to .320-.340. But he'll be 'grinding' out those singles, so all will be well in Ozzie's playhouse. Kalapse
It would be nice if Hawk would just say the name Podsednik. He's calling out the bottom of the order for being piss poor offensively last season but he refuses to mention the fact that the Sox had the worst leadoff hitter in baseball last year. Atleast Uribe brought power to the table, Pods provided nothing.

southsideirish71
QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Mar 17, 2007 -> 03:55 PM) This is one boring-ass game! Hawk can paint any pitcher as the resurrection of Catfish Hunter or Cy Freakin Young we humble our bats into sleep. The minute you get Hawk talking up a pitcher on the other side, you can count the number of hits on your one hand.
