Guest hotsoxchick1
KW wants to win with players he's responsible for getting, he wants all the credit. yes..... He's an ego-maniac. yes...... Did anyone else notice at the Soxfest seminars he always sat a chair away from everyone else on the stage, separating himself. and yes again....... At no time last year did Foulke pitch as bad as Koch has this year, yet he was removed from the closers role and Koch stays correct....... KW looks like a bigger fool everytime Koch takes the mound. couldnt agree more....... glad to see someone else sees it that way too........... kw on a personal level is a very nice guy.. i have always stated that.......kw on a professional level just flat out sucks........i have always stood by that too....... Texsox
I'm wondering if the BoSox would be interested in Billy or even Marte. Seems like we could package something there.

IlliniKrush
I think Mare should definitely stay...if you get rid of him you just traded your best bullpen asset and would need to replace him poste haste, and i don't know how you'd do that. Try moving Koch to Boston for Sanchez in some sort of deal.
CubKilla
There was a disagreement. It centered around Kenny. Is that enough? Nopers. More! More! Disagreement regarding....???????? Foulke was critical of KW and, when you have thin-skin like KW, you get dealt. BTW Heather..... a closer is only as good as the team he closes for. When you're team is under .500, your save numbers are going to be down simply because your team isn't in many save situations. Even if Koch closed every game this season that a save was possible (not counting games where the starter was dominating), he'd probably only have 20 saves at the most. Be Good
YA, lets hope we hang on to Marte
Mathew
hmmm just like foulke and biddle......... Make that 21 saves and counting. Marte is awesome, don't dare trade him, Botch blows, but I've given this up a long time ago just watch the game with a blanket so you can hide when he throws the 92mph dead straight mozza ball. witesoxfan
If I may add something....can assume Foulke's trade had something to do with him not being happy about the clubhouse spies? And is that part of the reason Durham was dealt so quickly without getting much in return for him?
KipWellsFan
Regarding Foulke: I don't know about any disagreements, however, I do know that Manuel lost confidence in Foulke. He wasn't going to use him and therefore it was time to move him. What we see in Koch is very similar to what Oakland saw. There is a reason the guy had 14 wins last year. Closers don't get that many unless they blow leads, the difference is the team he pitched for last year, could score in the late innings and win the game in spite of Koch. Only 11 wins come on!!! Still an incredible number for a closer, whether it's a good thing or not I don't know.
