ScottyDo
He's got a point about all the Gonzalezes. Potentially, you could have the following call: "Gonzalez sets up low for Gonzalez. Gonzalez delivers. Gonzalez swings and hits a one-hopper to Gonzalez who throws on to first for the out." I wish that had actually happened. Only Thome is missing. Carasco shut down most of our starters on Saturday for like 1 hit over 5, and now this. Hopefully this isnt that crap in 05 when no one could hit for the first 2 months of the season. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 05:08 PM) You do realize that we are second in the majors is runs scored during the spring correct? WooHoo check the last 5 years at where we are as a team with scoring runs over a season. Even in 04 when we pounded a pitcher for 10 runs and then got 3 hit for the next week. It all looks good at the end.

If Arizona and its dry air and elevation affect our pitchers wouldnt it affect theirs as well. They don't have anything to do with how our team will perform once the season starts, as I've stated before both with pitchers and hitters. Just like Iguchi won't hit under .200 and Crede won't hit over .400. But you were trying to make it sound like we were sucking on offense, when that obviously isn't the case. Balta1701
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 03:25 PM) Actual question or do you have the answer? I am interested.... Coming in to today, according to MLB.com, it's Erstad with 7 (tied with A. Gonzalez, who won't be makign the team anyway) Erstad is also leading the team in AB's this spring with 47 coming into today. Konerko is 2nd with 37. And Erstad has walked 2 times in 49 plate appearances, for a sweet .320 OBP. According to the box score, Erstad k'd 3 times today, so make that 10 K's in 51 AB's for the coffee grinder. That cocky youngster better go down to Charlotte and learn some humilty, and maybe how to punt.
