Balta1701
CHarlie goes 3-0 on Sexson (how do you miss that strike zone high?), 2 3-0 counts in a row, then walks Sexson. Charlie follows up 2 3-0 counts with an 0-2 count on Morse, Morse grounds to Iguchi, takes the out at First, 2nd and 3rd, 1 out. Johjima grounds to Crede, Crede misses it, Uribe fields, throws to first, can't get him. Run scores, infield single. 4-2 bad guys. Passed ball, runners move to 2nd and 3rd. Lopez grounds to Iguchi. Sexson scores, 5-2 Mariners, 2 outs, Johjima to 3rd. Edited March 22, 2007 by Balta1701
Flash Tizzle
Nothing would be better then Anderson ending the season on a hot streak. Considering Guillen said Brian has to "step it up" in the newspaper, and he's already responded with a single, it'd be hard for management to justify sending down Anderson if he's hitting better than Grinderstad. Harry Chappas
Our catchers have trouble handling non-knuckle ball pitchers and have no chance against knucklers. PB takes away the DP that would have been and run scores. Reed K's M's with a pair 5-2.

He's been hitting better than Erstad for the last 2 weeks or so, and we've still gotten Erstad declared the starter and getting 500 at bats. Iguchi sends the first pitch to the warning track. Another leadoff double.
Harry Chappas
QUOTE(HeGone33 @ Mar 22, 2007 -> 04:26 PM) Probably when he was part of a championship team, an all star and earned his 2 GG's. Funny though, BA is a god after having a less than average second half of a season, but imporved from his first half season. I agree with you but spring training has shown that he is not this player any longer. If he is allowed to play center, left and first on occasion it is a nice pick up. Iguchi with a hit. Cerbaho-WG
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 22, 2007 -> 04:43 PM) He's been hitting better than Erstad for the last 2 weeks or so, and we've still gotten Erstad declared the starter and getting 500 at bats. Darin Erstad eats meat raw, chops down trees in the offseason and refuses to take a walk. That, folks, is a grinder (see: bad player).

Hilarious, stepping it up is hitting a single? Too bad Grinderstand has a single and a run scored.

A single is not much, but it's a start.

Cerbaho-WG
The more and more I think about Pods and Erstad leading off, the more I dream of having two fat guys who can't run at the top of the order, but get on base 37% of the time. Anyone who has a brain in their head knows that the entire offense is premised around hitting three run bombs, so you might as well get the guys on base first before we try hitting baseballs into the concourse. Balta1701
AJ singles, Dye goes to 3rd. Anderson hits a ball to the 2nd baseman. Anderson retired. Dye scores, RBI anderson. AJ somehow gets caught in a rundown and is retired. Sox lead 6-5. Edited March 22, 2007 by Balta1701
