sox-r-us
Given we have NEVER hit Cy Mays, we have to have Jon and not Judy Garland on the mound tomorrow. If we can get a sweep in Minny, this team will kick the flubs butt and then the schedule gets easy to get on a great run before the A/S game.....this way Kenny will be a buyer at the deadline and not a seller The question is can the real Garland show up tomorrow? Or can the Sox O, by some way, shape or form hit against Cy Mays Huge game tomorrow.....we better win it to get within 3.
YASNY
The Twins are reeling right now ... We need to keep them that way.
Iguana
The Sox better score more than 2 today if they want to win.

upnorthsox
We actually got to Mays a couple of times last yr and we hit him well the last time we faced him put couldn't get any runs across(which makes hime like every other pitcher in the league ). The Cy may be wearing off his name.

They were both late yr starts(aug 21st, Sep 22nd) well after his DL stint and we did get 7 hits off him the last time we faced him. He's doable. SI1020
Ya, or we might all have to sing "Somewhere over the Rainbow". Other teams win the pennant Why O Why can't we?
CWSOX45
Jon pitches well in the Twinkie dome, maybe the offense will score 13 for him like they did against the Cubbies? (I know wishful thinking.) CWSOX45
aboz56
Here's a look at Garland's last seven starts, six of which have been quality and have lowered his season era from 6.10 to 4.71: May 17 at Minny - 6 innings, 1 ER in a 3-1 Sox loss. May 23 vs Detroit - 6 innings, 2 ER in a 3-2 no decision that the Sox lost. May 28 at Toronto - 8 innings, 0 ER in a 8-0 Sox win. June 4 at Arizona - 4.1 innings, 7 ER in a 8-6 Sox loss. June 10 vs San Fran - 7 innings, 2 ER in a 5-3 Sox win. June 15 vs. San Diego - 8 innings, 1 ER in a 1-0 Sox loss. June 20 at CHC - 6 innings, 2 ER in a 12-3 Sox win. This guy has been good lately and no one can argue it.
elrockinMT
I like our chances with Garland pitching. However, I agree we need to score more than 2 runs, more like three runs would do. 3-2 Sox winner.
IlliniKrush
If garland goes 6-7...how bout 4-5 runs to give the bullpen some much needed breathing room

I get Joe and Billy confused It's Joe Mays the pitcher ~and~ Billy Mays the pitchman

There is only one person that is refered to as "doable" on this board.
