My son (8yrs) quits very quickly if he doesn't do something well right away!! He's done it with sports (baseball and soccer) and some with school! I have tried to tell him all I want is effort, but that doesn't really seem to work!! Sometimes it feels like he fails just to upset me!!! And I don't get upset that he's not doing well, I get upset that he's not trying! He can't tell the difference, though! Exclamation points added for your critique, CC!!!
