Ultimately it's the pitchers that have to perform.

 

If as many pitchers underpeform this year as they did last year, then he needs to be fired. It's amazing that he honestly believes that it doesn't matter how his guys throw....as long as the team wins, there should be no complaining about high ERAs.

Yeah I don't know what it is either. It might be some physics thing but I'm not sure.

 

Example pFX=11.7"

 

11.7 inches of what? Curve?

I don't think it has as much to do with "dead arms" as it has to do with "I can't throw quality strikes or have any control so I have to throw down the heart of the plate and get rocked"-itis.

Lack of stuff you think? Like we mentioned, Garland is saying the same things to start this year as he did last year at the beginning. I think we all know how well that started.
