alk3kevin
Huh? He's getting a lot of seeing eye and bloop singles. I understand he's had some hits but if the Sox are really committed to him in CF they might want to give him a day/AB off.
ScottyDo
QUOTE(Craig Grebeck @ Apr 8, 2007 -> 01:35 AM) Huh? He's getting a lot of seeing eye and bloop singles. I understand he's had some hits but if the Sox are really committed to him in CF they might want to give him a day/AB off. I'm as big a fan of BA as everybody else around here, but to say Erstad is just getting seeing eye singles and bloopers is not accurate. He's working counts and hitting the ball well. He did happen to have a bloop single today, but even without that he's playing well. Seriously, put him in LF and BA in CF. And then use a whole bunch of two-letter acronyms like LF CF BA SP and KO
alk3kevin
You're right---just checked the stats---1.115 OPS wtf
Gregory Pratt
Erstad plays the game just as it's meant to be played. He's been perfect so far.
Controlled Chaos
Anybody hear Brennaman and Grace discussing the Twins organization and how Gardenhire and his staff go about coaching fundamentals from the minors on up. This formula has worked so well for the Twins, why haven't more teams gone to it. Can't we dig up a minor league coach in the Twins organization and bring him over with a promotion. Get our young hitters to use the right approach at the dish.
BigSqwert
That would make too much sense CC.
Controlled Chaos
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 9, 2007 -> 12:34 PM) That would make too much sense CC. Especially since Ozzie gives the Twins so much love. You think he would try to emulate their approach instead of just admiring it.

southsider2k5
If it were so easy to do, 28 other teams would have already done this.
Y2HH
Jose needed that game to get confidence in himself again...hopefully, mission accomplished. Oh, and as for the Pods naysayers. Told ya so...so far, anyway. Even # years = Pods Odd # years = Pods
