What? There are tons of major leaguers that cut it with a 91 mph fastball.

Sorry, I meant a 91 MPH fastball exclusively. I haven't seen him mixing up his pitches much at all. He needs to work the rest of his pitches in better.

Santana doesn't count any in rule of managing. Someone should have flooded the field today so it was postponed. I've said this for 4 years now, but Santana is the only pitcher we face who I expect to beat us.

Haha. Ya, I can't remember ever feeling this way about a pitcher. I guess the exception would be Pedro who I always felt that when his prime was pretty much an auto loss (especially if he weren't on the Expos for part of his prime).

Well, at least they worked the count...

We always try to work the count vs Santana, and it doesn't work. Even if he'll walk a few guys, you still have to be aggressive and get some hits against him. We're just not getting a lot of hits right now. Thankfully we won our last two games.

How many one-hitters does Santana usually throw in a season against every other team in baseball?

He must honestly do it three times a year to the Sox. I seriously mean that.

And to think some people gave me a hard time because I guaranteed the Twins wouldn't skip him this weekend after the game was called.

Good stuff by Danks. His fastball's been crisper than I expected.

I just realized gameday shows the speed of the pitches now. f***ing awesome.

They're not accurate at all.

Yes, this is a confidence builder for Danks-pretty good for a first start. We definatly need a better book on this Cudd Year. We never get him out

You have to get Cuddyer up and in. We always throw him soft s*** on the outside, and he pokes it up the middle.

Damn, that would've been a great little addition.

I'm thinking the best we can hope for is that Santana can only go 7 innings and we can make a comeback against whoever pitches the 8th before Nathan shuts us down.

Wouldn't it be embarrassing to get owned this badly over and over again?

I wonder if we'll be the worst hitting team against LHP this year. When you face Santana and C.C. 12 times a year, it's very possible.
