Jimbo's Drinker
It looks like he is declaring along with Rush. Poopey. I am very interested to see who self brings in to replace him, with all these coaching changes and what not.

Buehrle>Wood
Rush is the killer here. Wright is overrated as a college player IMO. Kansas has the talent there to replace him.

Soxbadger
Luckily you play in the Big 12, even if you lost your entire starting 5 you would still probably be the 1st or 2nd best team. Edited April 9, 2007 by Soxbadger
danman31
QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Apr 9, 2007 -> 12:39 PM) Luckily you play in the Big 12, even if you lost your entire starting 5 you would still probably be the 1st or 2nd best team. It will be a better league next year. There were a lot of young teams and first year coaches. At least next year the teams won't be as young despite still a few first year coaches lol. Kansas and A&M won't be as good and Texas and Oklahoma State will probably stagnate, but the rest of the league should be better.

Soxbadger
I dont know I think that outside of Texas I really dont see many teams in the Big 12 improving vastly, and KU still will have one of the best classes in the conference if not the best class. A&M is on its way down, and if Texas loses Durant they wont be as nearly as a dynamic team. It would be a lot different if KU was playing in a different conference, as it is I still think they will be favorites for the Big 12 title. KU still has robinson, Chalmers, Collins, Arthur and KAun, with jackson, stewart, alrich and reed. they will not make a deep run, well they never do anyways. Lets see if Self can try to pluck one more for 07, never doubt that guy.

danman31
I'm not saying the Big 12 is going to be a ton better next year and I didn't say Kansas would suck. I think it's a safe assessment to say Kansas won't be as good (assuming Rush also goes pro). If Durant goes pro, which he almost certainly will, Texas will probably be about as good but maybe not as dangerous. As long as James and Augustin return they are going to be a good team because they will have another good class coming in.
Palehosefan
Realistically the Big 12 will have quite a few tourney contenders, but really only Kansas as national title contenders all Self jokes aside. I'm just excited that TTU finally has a shot at the Big 12 South title.
Rex Hudler
Fine by me. Hopefully, more underclassmen declare soon so somebody can talk some sense into DJ White that he may not get drafted at all.
southsider2k5
Why would you believe a broke college kid who says he is waiting to get millions of dollars? You might get the occasional Noah, but more often than not these kids are out the door.
