If this happens Im for sure making a road trip out of it. Ive never been so I need bar advice.

Anything on Water Street is the absolute s***. Just hop in a cab and tell them to take you to Water Street... it's laced with bar sexiness.

You should definitely hit the casino too... lol.

I think it wouldn't be wise for the Indians to move the series unless its almost a lock they can't get at least 2 games in. They will lose so much money with the concessions, parking and the killer, no suite revenue. They don't have to draw as much in Cleveland as the do in Milwaukee to get more money. You are also at risk for alienating fans who may only have tickets to a game this weekend. If they play in Milwaukee and the weather is playable for any of the games in Cleveland, some fans will be pissed.

How far is water street from the ballpark? Close? Also, anyone have hotel recommendations?

It's incredibly close.

Stay at the Hilton or the Howard Johnson, you'll be very satisfied.

That's what I am thinking as well. Its one thing to lose money for one series, but to do it consecutively would be a huge hit for the organization. I am inclined to believe, since we play them SO many times yet this year, that these games will be made up if postponed and they will take place in Cleveland.

I would love to go to Milwaukee (if I can bribe my wife enough :) ), but I just don't see it happening regardless of the weather.

More info from a guy that has the "inside info." Again, this is from the MLB Indians fan forum, so take it for what it is worth...

This just in from the Tribes hotel this morning. the team has left for Miller Park and they have not checked out of their rooms, they are book for the night again and will be retruning after the game.

It's looking more and more like they are going to play the Sox in Milwaukee at Jacobs West. That is too bad as Sox fans are just waiting to buy up all the tickets and try to pull it as a home game for them. It's really not fair at all as they have already had a home stand with the tribe this season in Chicago now they get one in Miwaukee...

I don't know how much of a say the Indians will have left. Plus there gets to be a point where you have to look past the single game revenues, and wonder if this is going to hurt the team in a division they have a real chance at winning. 6-7 make up games over the rest of the season could concievably cost them a chance at the division. We all have seen that Indians fans are huge bandwagon fans and won't show up if their team is out of it. If they blow the season because of make up game issues, (injuries, having to start AAA pitchers etc) they will lose more revenue in the long run, versus losing a couple/ three games worth of April revenues now.

CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Indians are set to return home this weekend for their 2007 home debut to play host to division rival Chicago White Sox in a three-game series beginning Friday, April 13 at 7:05 p.m.

It has been "The Longest Time" since the Tribe played an official home game at Jacobs Field, so what better way to begin the exciting weekend series against the White Sox than to have an appearance by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and six-time Grammy-award winning artist Billy Joel. Billy Joel, in town performing at his sold out Quicken Loans Arena concert this Friday night, will toss the ceremonial first pitch prior to Friday's 7:05 p.m. Indians Game against Chicago.

"We are very excited to have legendary Billy Joel take the time to visit Jacobs Field before his Friday night performance," said Cleveland Indians Vice President of Public Relations Bob Dibiasio. "Billy is a huge baseball fan and has been following the weather challenges that have plagued the City of Cleveland the past few days. This is his way of paying tribute to the passionate Tribe fans who have been patient to get the home season started."

:( Hopefully this isn't in concrete

I just got off the phone with Cleveland and Milwaulkee ticket people. The people in Mil, said they are getting ready as if the games were going to be at Miller Park. The people in Cleveland said they have not heard anything as of now, and when I told them what the Mil people said, they said that they (Cleveland) are just waiting until the hear something offical. So who knows, I am sure we will find out soon either way.

I've already got a group of 6 ready to go on Saturday... I'm thinking it won't happen, though.

I have been praying for this since last week. Plus I've always wanted to see Miller Park.

I'm ABSOLUTELY IN and we need to look for each other if this happens.

Miller Park is the s***.

If they do it like they did with the angels series, tickets will be available through clevelandindians.com or milwaukeebrewers.com for $10 any seat in the house.

It'd be so awesome.

Does everybody realize that Cleveland is still there right now, playing a game? They wouldn't even have to leave.

That's the idea... f*** f*** f*** i hope it happens! I've got my debit card ready to purchase EIGHT tickets now.
