shawnhillegas
Well, he saved a run, so I guess that makes up for his K. Now Crede owes us.
Capn12
Damn...that was a nice play by Dye, and effortless throw to second on a line.

southsideirish71
AJ used to be an all field hitter who hit line drives, and lots of doubles. Now he looks like he going to pull everything. It really doesnt matter who we bring to this club, they will become a prototypical pull only hitter. If you can turn AJ into it. Nobody is safe. shawnhillegas
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 12:46 PM) Jermaine Dye is insanely slow in RF. He would be the single worst offseason signing we could make. He has DH written all over him.
SoxAce
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:46 PM) Was that catch in slow motion? Because it appeared that way. Getting old is horrible sometimes.
caulfield12
QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:45 PM) Fantastic comparisons Oh, for the days of Magglio Ordonez, Mike Devereaux, Cory Snyder and Ellis Burks. Dye is running in Quikcrete out there.

BearSox
Dye wasn't this slow last year, was he? Maybe he is just trying to avoid injury in his contract year, but that doesn't explain why he cant hit s***.

Actually, it's more projecting the difficulty he might have when it gets hot out and the ball is flying out of the Cell. It's all going to depend on the adjustments he makes.....as he does have a good history of making them.

southsideirish71
Now its funny that all of the Indians hitters have started to go oppo. I wonder if is just pure luck, or maybe their coaching staff said, AJ is calling a lot of pitches away stay back on the pitch and drive it to right. Too bad we dont adjust like that. A guy can pretty much setup a chair on the outside corner, and we swing like he is going over the middle of the plate.
StrangeSox
I feel sorry for Danks. He's pitched much better than anyone can expect of a rookie 5th starter, and the offense can't give him any sort of run support.

Just another example of why wins mean absolutely nothing when judging the production of a pitcher. 6 IP 3 ER, 5.1 IP 2ER and nothing to show for it.
