its just another example of the lack of human respect that has occurred in our society.

yea, it's pretty sad state of affairs when people think the have a right to abuse and harrass grieving family members at a funeral service. it shows a total lack of human respect to take these type of actions for the means of getting some sort of message across and/or media coverage.

This post has been begrudgingly edited by the Soxtalk staff to remove objectionable material. Soxtalk encourages a free discussion between its members, but does not allow personal attacks even against the most vile of public figures, threats, graphic sexual material, nudity, or any other materials judged offensive by the Administrators and Moderators. Thank you.

Haha, I can tell the person who edited this really didn't want to. I completely understand, though.

I'd rather not link to his despicable site.

He regularly protests at funerals for fallen soldiers, saying "they got what they deserved."

Just look up "Fred Phelps."

I saw a 7-part series on Youtube (which has since been removed, probably by somebody from his "church") called "The most hated family in America". It was about a journalist who spent a week with them to see what they did and how they lived their lives. Quite interesting but the people seemed pretty hypocritical to me. Their actions don't always seem to mesh with their beliefs.

I was saddened at the way they basically brainwash their own kids. At one of the protests one of the kids was walking around with a sign. The reporter asked the kid if he knew what the words on the sign meant and he said "no".

I'm guessing I would have agreed with this post.
